The London Spirit franchise has made a slew of signings for the upcoming Men’s and Women’s editions of The Hundred 2026 season.

South African youngster and hard-hitting batter Dewald Brevis has been roped in by the London Spirit to mark his maiden association with any team in England’s revolutionary 100-ball league.

Dewald Brevis, a veteran of 189 T20 matches, has previously played some top global T20 leagues like the IPL in India, CPL in the West Indies, MLC in USA, Vitality Blast in England and SA20 in South Africa.

Dewald Brevis among 8 international signings for London Spirit

The London Spirit franchise has confirmed eight international signings for the upcoming 2026 edition of The Hundred. Three of those eight players, namely Charlie Dean, Grace Harris and Jamie Overton have all previously represented the London Spirit franchise during The Hundred 2025 season last year.

South African batting prodigy Dewald Brevis is among London Spirit’s new recruits, and he is now tipped to make his Hundred debut during the 2026 season in England. Apart from Overton and Brevis, the London Spirit franchise also roped in explosive English batter Liam Livingstone.

Livingstone spent the first five editions of The Hundred with the Birmingham Phoenix franchise between the years 2021 and 2025, aggregating 996 runs for them in 36 innings at a blistering strike rate of nearly 150.

Australian spinner Adam Zampa also found a new Hundred home at London Spirit, after spending four seasons with Welsh Fire and MI London.

Among the women’s cricketers, London Spirit zealots Charlie Dean and Grace Harris have been both retained by the franchise through their latest signings. They will now be joined by legendary South African all-rounder Marizanne Kapp and uncapped English cricketer Mahika Gaur.

While Kapp will be joining London Spirit after playing five seasons for MI London (formerly known as Oval Invincibles), young Gaur will be joining the team from Manchester Originals. Here is a look at all eight signings made by London Spirit for the upcoming 2026 season of The Hundred.

London Spirit signings for The Hundred 2026 season:

London Spirit Women: Charlie Dean, Grace Harris, Mahika Gaur, Marizanne Kapp

London Spirit Men: Jamie Overton, Dewald Brevis, Liam Livingstone, Adam Zampa

Dewald Brevis signing marks a seismic shift in London Spirit

The recruitment of hard-hitting South African batter Brevis marks a potential jackpot for London Spirit as they look to inject explosiveness and youth into their batting unit. Over the past few years, Brevis has proven himself to be a formidable force with the bat in league cricket as well as for South Africa in T20Is, especially as a middle-order batter.

The 22-year-old, fondly described as ‘Junior ABD’ by fans, has already played 19 T20Is for South Africa, minting 469 runs at a strike rate of 173.70. The youngster also holds an astonishing strike rate of 143.75 in ODI cricket, albeit with a small sample set of nine innings.

As of now, Dewald Brevis is scheduled to turn up for South Africa in the upcoming 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka next month.
