As many as two Test matches from the ongoing 2025-27 WTC cycle came to a conclusion today in two different continents. While West Indies took a 1-0 lead against hosts Bangladesh in Mirpur, Temba Bavuma’s South Africa crushed Australia to clinch its three-match home series in Cape Town later in the day.

The two results also brought about certain changes on the nine-team WTC 2025-27 points table. Following South Africa’s comprehensive result, here is a look at the updated WTC 2025-27 charts.

(Updated WTC points table)

Australia lost its top spot on the 2025-27 WTC points table after losing successive matches to concede their three-match away series to South Africa. While their PCT dropped from 81.82 to 75 after the defeat in Gqeberha last week, it further slipped down to 69.23 after the heavy loss in Cape Town on October 31.

As of now, they are placed at number three on the updated WTC charts, allowing New Zealand to surge to the top of the table. They are followed by defending champions South Africa at number two as the Proteas improved their PCT from 66.67 to 71.42 after their series-clinching win.

A fascinating subplot on the updated WTC table is that its top three positions are currently held by three former champions of the competition, including the two finalists of the previous 2025 edition.

Bangladesh fall below India, jump out of top 4 after West Indies win

In Mirpur, Bangladesh; the hosts lost to West Indies by eight wickets to go 0-1 down in their two-match home Test series. Under the leadership of Najmul Hossain Shanto, the Bangladesh team also lost a rung to slip to number fifth position on the latest 2025-27 WTC points table.

Their PCT declined from 55.56 to 47.62, allowing Team India to climb to the fourth spot on the nine-team standings with a PCT of 51.52.

England and Sri Lanka retained their sixth and seventh spots respectively as both teams have been knocked out of the WTC final race. They are followed by West Indies at number eight, who marginally improved their PCT from 20.83 to 26.92 after defeating Bangladesh in their series-opener.

The Pakistan cricket team continue to languish at the bottom of the points table with a dismal PCT of 4.63 after playing nine matches.
