The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) mounted a formidable 250-run total against CSK in match number 11 of the IPL 2026 season in Bengaluru. Hard-hitting Tim David blasted 70* runs off just 25 deliveries, as the blistering middle-order batter compounded nearly 100 runs for his side along with captain Rajat Patidar from the final six overs of the innings.
It is worth noting that CSK fast bowler Anshul Kamboj nearly halted David’s rampage when the 30-year-old was batting at just 28*. However, a cardinal sin at the bowling crease with some premature celebration led to CSK’s downfall as Tim David ‘sportingly’ made the most of his reprieve.

At a time when Digvesh Rathi’s infamous ‘notebook’ celebration has become the talk of the IPL town, many bowlers are coming up with their own aggressive brand of celebration after picking up a wicket. Such celebrations can be justified to some extent considering the increasingly high-scoring, batting-friendly nature of the league, where bowlers are often left with little margin for error.

CSK fast bowler Anshul Kamboj joined this bandwagon after cleaning up Tim David in the 18th over of the RCB innings in Bengaluru. The speedster charged up to David, only to receive a friendly ‘fist bump’ in exchange by the outbound Australian batter.
In a dramatic twist, the on-field umpire declared it a no-ball, allowing the lanky middle-order batter to breathe again in a moment that had briefly threatened to end his charge. Taking on Kamboj for a free hit, this time the hard-hitting right-hander dispatched the CSK fast bowler several rows into the M. Chinnaswamy crowd.
