The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) suffered a huge NRR-denting defeat at the hands of hosts Gujarat Titans in match 56 of the IPL 2026 season. The outcome marked SRH’s second loss in their last three games, and their fifth defeat overall this tournament.

Even though SRH’s NRR prospects took a massive hit at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, May 12; the ‘Orange Army’ continue to remain one of the leading contenders for making it to the season’s playoffs.

After their latest match, here is a look at the list of SRH’s remaining fixtures this IPL 2026 season.

The SRH franchise, under the interim leadership of Ishan Kishan, started off the IPL 2026 season with three defeats from their first four matches. However, the team bounced back by securing five wins on the trot, thus jumping back to the playoffs reckoning in the process.

SRH’s five-match winning sequence also coincided with the return of regular captain and legendary Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins, whose presence further bolstered the team’s composition. The defeat to KKR on May 3 halted SRH’s momentum, which they regained with a 33-run win over Punjab Kings a couple of days later in Hyderabad.

Following their latest defeat against Gujarat Titans in match 56 of the IPL 2026 season, SRH has so far registered seven wins and five defeats from 12 matches. With 14 points and a formidable NRR of 0.331, Pat Cummins and co. are confidently ranked third on the 10-team points table.

IPL 2026 playoff qualification scenario for SRH

Even though SRH is ranked among the top three sides of the competition as of May 12, the franchise has still not fully qualified for the IPL 2026 playoffs.

In a bid to make it to the top four of the tournament before the end of the league stage, it is imperative for SRH to win at least one of its remaining two fixtures. A win will get them to 16 points, which has proven more than enough for teams to make it to playoffs in recent years.

However, SRH will try and push for a top two finish to give themselves an additional crack for a place in the final. In such a scenario, Pat Cummins’ troops will be required to win both their remaining games to get to a maximum of 18 points.
