Amid cricket’s relentless schedule, Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah continues to operate with barely any breathing space. Mere days after helping Team India lift the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the legendary speedster is now prepping up alongside his Mumbai Indians colleagues for the upcoming IPL 2026 season.
The relentless grind often leaves little room for personal time, even impacting moments with his wife Sanjana Ganesan and their child. With IPL 2026 on the horizon, Sanjana recently took a light-hearted dig at Bumrah, sharing a ‘Dhurandhar’ movie meme that subtly captured his packed routine.
Sanjana Ganesan becomes ‘Dhurandhar’ character in trolling Bumrah
Sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan tapped into the ‘Dhurandhar’ hype with a cheeky social media post inspired by the Bollywood spy-action flick. On Tuesday, March 24, she shared a still of a certain character from the movie asking the protagonist if he was missing his family.

With the protagonist sharing the same nickname, Jassi, as Jasprit Bumrah, the post carried a playful undertone, gently alluding to the cricketer’s routine that rarely strays beyond cricket commitments or the occasional “boy’s night.”
Both Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan first met each other during an interview back in IPL 2013. The two began dating for a while, and married each other in 2021. The star couple also have a child together, a son named Angad.
Jasprit Bumrah remains India’s all-format champion
Compatible to Sanjana Ganesan’s claims, Jasprit Bumrah continues to juggle an unrelenting schedule dominated by cricketing commitments. A starting member in India’s playing XI across all three formats, the legendary speedster recently helped Team India lift the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Bumrah picked up 14 wickets in the tournament, which included a match-winning four-fer in the final against New Zealand at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Overall, the 32-year-old finished the World Cup as its joint highest-wicket taker with 14 wickets.
The senior India paceman made his international debut back in early 2016, and has so far represented the nation in 52 Tests, 89 ODIs and 95 T20I matches. He has picked up over 500 international wickets across all formats for the Indian team.
Bumrah joins Mumbai Indians for IPL 2026
Shortly after winning the 2026 T20 World Cup, Jasprit Bumrah has now joined the Mumbai Indians franchise in Mumbai for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. He was retained by the franchise along with several other Mumbai Indians zealots like Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav among others prior to the IPL 2026 auction late last year.
Under the leadership of all-rounder Hardik Pandya, Bumrah and the rest of his teammates will now be taking on the KKR in their opening match of the IPL 2026 season on March 29 later this weekend. The match will be hosted by the iconic Wankhede Stadium and the action will commence from 7:30 PM IST onwards.
