Cricket South Africa (CSA) has unveiled a blockbuster home summer for fans of the South African Women’s cricket team. As per the schedule, the Proteas Women will be hosting Team India and Australia in a series of multi-format fixtures from December later this year till April 2027.
For Team India Women, the tour will mark their second to South Africa in the space of a year. The Australian Women’s team, on the other hand, will be travelling to the rainbow nation for the first time to play a bilateral series against the hosts.
Speaking on the announcement, CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki expressed the board’s delight in hosting two champion teams in quick succession. Moseki said “We are delighted to host two of the world’s leading teams in India and Australia for what promises to be a blockbuster home summer for the Proteas Women.”
India to tour South Africa for ODIs and a one-off Test
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed that the South African Women’s team will be hosting Team India Women in December later this year. As per the schedule, the two sides will be squaring off for a series of three ODI matches and a one-off Test match.

The tour will mark only the fourth visit for the Indian Women’s team to South Africa overall, and their second in the space of a year. As of now, the ‘Women in Blue’ are scheduled to tour South Africa to play a T20I series next month.

- 2nd ODI - 12 December 2026, Bloemfontein
- 3rd ODI - 15 December 2026, Cape Town
- One-off Test - 20 to 23 December 2026, Gqeberha
Australia Women set for historic maiden tour of South Africa
The Australia Women’s team is also scheduled to tour South Africa early next year for an all-format series, thus marking their historic maiden visit to the rainbow nation for bilateral fixtures.
It is worth noting that while Australia Women were scheduled to tour South Africa way back in March and April 2020 to play three ODIs and three T20Is, their entire planned tip was cancelled owing to the COVID-19 pandemic induced worldwide lockdown. Here is a look at the entire schedule of South Africa Women’s home fixtures against Australia next year.

- 1st T20I - 18 March 2027, Kimberley
- 2nd T20I - 21 March 2027, Benoni
- 3rd T20I - 23 March 2027, KuGompo City
- 1st ODI - 27 March 2027, Gqeberha
- 2nd ODI - 31 March 2027, Paarl
- 3rd ODI - 3 April 2027, Durban
- One-off Test - 8 to 11 April 2027, Potchefstroom
South Africa to host India Women after returning from New Zealand
The South Africa Women’s team is currently on a white-ball tour of New Zealand. Soon after the conclusion of the five T20Is and three ODI matches between the two sides, the Proteas Women will return to South Africa and host familiar nemesis Team India for a five-match T20I series.
The tour will commence on April 17 next month at the iconic Kingsmead in Durban. The series will mark the first meeting between the two sides in any form of international cricket since their blockbuster showdown in the final of the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup last November.
