The stage is set for a riveting IPL battle as the hosts, Rajasthan Royals, will take on the struggling Delhi Capitals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The contest holds utmost importance for both teams, and especially for the Capitals, who will aim to bounce back after the RCB drubbing.
Delhi Capitals suffered a humiliating defeat against RCB a couple of days ago, and anything less than a win against the Royals will be a disappointing prospect for the franchise.
DC are currently 7th on the points table, and another loss will hamper their playoff chances. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings in a high-scoring contest, and the team’s middle-order finally came to life against PBKS.
A win tonight will take Rajasthan to the top of the table, and ahead of the crucial RR Vs DC IPL 2026 match, we take a look at the toss winner and the changes made by the two teams.
RR vs DC IPL 2026 toss update
Rajasthan Royals won the toss and surprisingly, Riyan Parag, the captain, elected to bat first. In the last match, RR won by chasing, and hence, this decision came in as a surprise. RR have made one criticial change, with Ravi Bishnoi back in the team, Dasun Shanaka out, and Shubham Dubey included in playing XI.
Mitch Starc, who missed the first half of the season is back in the playing XI, while David Miller has been dropped by Axar Patel in the DC playing XI. Meanwhile, Sahil Parakh is also out from the XI due to a neck spasm.

RR Vs DC: What the captains had to say
Riyan Parag: "[On toss decision] We are batting first.
[Usually teams bowl first, so why did he opt to bat first?] I don't think it's the usual Jaipur wicket. There is a bit of dryness, as we noticed it yesterday. Little patchy on the other side as well. Hopefully, it will slow down in the second innings. So, that is why we are batting first.
As a collective team effort, chasing dawn 228 always helps. The openers set it up. The way the lower order finished it off, it was nice.
Axar Patel: "[Team changes] I think let's keep it for later. We have 3-4 changes. Starc is playing, unfortunately, Chameera is not playing. Sahil, who played the last game, has a neck spasm so he is not playing and Pathum is playing. David Miller is not playing because Pathum is the 4th overseas player, so Ashutosh is palying.
[DC won't mind chasing as they have chased well?] I would have chased if I had won the toss. Because we saw a game being played here, 230 was chased by SRH. Wicket looks good, we will look to restrict them.
