Taijul Islam stars as Bangladesh crush Pakistan to clinch series 2-0
Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam completed six wickets in the decisive innings as the hosts folded up Pakistan for 358 early on Day 5. With Taijul claiming figures of 6-120, Bangladesh secured a comprehensive 78-run win in Sylhet to seal the two-match Test series 2-0.

Overnight Pakistan batter Mohammad Rizwan managed to reach 94 in his fighting knock, but his dismissal on Day 5 tilted the tide in Bangladesh’s favour.
Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman ruled out of Australia series
Pakistan’s attacking opening batters Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub have both been ruled out of the upcoming three-match home ODI series against Australia. The two cricketers will be unavailable for selection in the series owing to their injury concerns. Both Ayub and Fakhar have been advised to continue their rehabilitation programmes.
The ODI series will be played between May 30 and June 4 in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
Ireland Women name squad for 2026 T20 World Cup
Cricket Ireland has named a 15-player squad for the upcoming 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England. Gaby Lewis will be leading the national side, and she will be accompanied by fellow star performers like Laura Delany, Orla Prendergast, Amy Hunter and Leah Paul.
The team also consists of five fresh faces in the form of Ava Canning, Christina Coulter Reilly, Alana Dalzell, Aimee Maguire and Lara McBride.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi gets injured for KKR against MI
KKR wicketkeeper-batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi suffered an injury in match number 65 of the IPL 2026 season against the Mumbai Indians. The cricketer was involved in a collision with teammate Varun Chakaravarthy during their botched catch attempt at the Eden Gardens.
Raghuvanshi’s injury prompted the KKR management to bring in Tejasvi Dahiya as a ‘Concussion Substitute’ for the second half of the match. Dahiya ended up scoring just 11 off 12 balls in the chase.
Rohit Sharma inches closer to Virat Kohli’s all-time IPL record
Rohit Sharma scored just 15 off 13 balls against the KKR in match 65 of the IPL 2026 season. However, the legendary opener extended his tally against KKR in IPL matches to 1,176 runs. He has now inched closer to Virat Kohli’s all-time IPL record of scoring the highest number of runs against a single opponent.
Sharma surpassed Kohli’s tally of 1,174 runs against CSK to occupy the number two spot on the list.
