Peshawar Zalmi walloped Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in a one-sided final to lift the PSL 2026 trophy. The outcome marked Zalmi’s only second PSL silverware, and their first in nearly a decade.
Apart from leading his side to glory, senior opener and team captain Babar Azam also attained a couple of more landmark moments after the presentation ceremony in the final on Sunday, May 3. Signing off from the 11th edition of the tournament, here is a list of every award winner of the PSL 2026 season as announced at the post-match ceremony.
Sufiyan Muqeem and Babar Azam hog the limelight
Young Peshawar Zalmi spinner Sufiyan Muqeem, playing only the fourth season of his PSL career after making sporadic appearances, bagged the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award after the PSL 2026 final.
The soon-to-be 24-year-old picked up 22 wickets in the competition in just 11 innings at an exceptional bowling average of 14.40.

Sufiyan Muqeem also won the ‘Bowler of the Tournament’ award for picking up the highest number of wickets this PSL 2026 season, while his captain Babar Azam clinched the ‘Batter of the Tournament’ for his record-levelling run by scoring 588 runs in 11 innings.

Peshawar Zalmi vs Hyderabad Kingsmen final: As it happened
Hyderabad Kingsmen batted first and bundled out for just 129 in 18 overs in the PSL 2026 final at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Saim Ayub at number three himself minted 54 of those runs from 50 balls with five boundaries and two huge sixes.
However, a four-wicket haul from Aaron Hardie triggered Kingsmen’s lower batting collapse in the backend of the innings. Nahid Rana also picked up match-winning figures of 2-22 in his four economical overs.
Mohammad Basit (1-22) and ‘Player of the Tournament’ Sufiyan Muqeem (1-23) both picked up a wicket each to claim two big ones in their combined seven-over spell.
In response, Peshawar Zalmi lost both their openers, including captain Babar Azam for a duck in the first over the run chase. Tottering at 40-4 in a chase of 130, Hardie at number four blasted 56* runs from just 39 balls with nine elegant boundaries. Abdul Samad also listed a quick 34-ball 48 to storm the Zalmi franchise past the Kingsmen in just 15.2 overs.
