Delhi Capitals' co-owner Parth Jindal broke silence on his side's horrible defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2026.

Delhi Capitals succumbed to one of their worst-ever IPL defeats on Monday night, as RCB crushed them by nine wickets in a one-sided contest.

Batting first, the Capitals were bundled out for only 75 runs, as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood dismantled their batting lineup with sensational spells.

In response, the visiting team cruised to the paltry target inside seven overs, with the in-form duo of Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal scoring crucial runs.

Delhi Capitals sustain lean patch in IPL 2026

Led by Axar Patel, Delhi Capitals had a magnificent start to the IPL 2026, securing thumping wins over LSG and Mumbai Indians.

Although Gujarat Titans and CSK swatted them aside, the Capitals bounced back by beating defending champions RCB in their own backyard.

However, as the caravan shifted to Delhi, the Royal Challengers unleashed their ruthless pace battery to leave the home team shell-shocked.

The lethal pace duo of Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar exposed the Delhi Capitals batters with extraordinary spells of fast bowling.

Their sublime spells reduced DC to eight for six, as they were eventually bowled out for 75 runs, their third-lowest team total in IPL history.

RCB chased the target in 6.3 overs, pushing DC on the verge of another group-stage elimination. As the Capitals extended their torrid run in the tournament, their co-owner Parth Jindal issued a clear message for the Axar Patel-led outfit.

Parth Jindal motivates Delhi Capitals with clear message

After his side sustained another defeat in the IPL 2026, Parth Jindal came forward to support the Delhi Capitals during the crisis.

Taking to his official handle on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Jindal acknowledged that the Capitals' middling performance has been a tough pill to swallow.

Parth Jindal urged Axar Patel and his men to ensure unity in the team. He asked the DC players to stand by their teammates and have each other's back in this difficult time.

"Stay together more than ever now @DelhiCapitals- really very tough to take but we must keep fighting and keep believing," Parth Jindal posted on X.

Delhi Capitals staring at another group-stage exit

The IPL 2025 didn't bring desirable result for DC, as they suffered a group-stage elimination from the tournament. Although they had a flying start to the tournament, the inconsistency of their key players resulted in another heartbreak for the Delhi-based franchise.

Considering they have managed only three wins across eight games so far, the chances of Delhi Capitals' qualification for the IPL playoffs are bleak at the moment. From team selection to on-field tactics, DC have seldom got anything spot on in the tournament so far.

Can DC still qualify for the IPL 2026 playoffs?

Led by Axar Patel, Delhi Capitals must win at least five of their next six matches to claim a spot in the IPL playoffs. However, it will be a daunting task for the franchise, as they will take on formidable sides like Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings in their upcoming matches.
