The recent few days haven't been the best for Pakistan Cricket overall, be it their game on the field or the drama off the field with the chaotic team management overhaul.
Nevertheless, Cricket Iceland, the official page of the Iceland Cricket Association, has now thrown a massive jab at the recent chaos while also taking a massive dig at India head coach Gautam Gambhir and England’s Harry Brook.
Significantly enough, Cricket Iceland have always made sarcastic posts on cricketing personnel over the years, and the latest jab only becomes jarring because it involves Gambhir’s name alongside some top officials of Pakistan.
Cricket Iceland takes a massive jab at Gautam Gambhir and Pakistan individuals
Taking to their official X handle, the cricket board dropped a blunt and sarcastic post conisting of a nightmaric management according to them which saw:
“We can create a current international management personnel of nightmares:
Head coach: Gautam Gambhir
Head of selectors: Aaqib Javed
Captain and post-match party organiser: Harry Brook
Director of golf: Rob Key
Physio: Imam-ul-Haq,” read the post.
For the unaware, the context was completely sarcastic given the recent situation with these individuals that had them in deep waters.
For the unaware, Aaqib Javed, the Pakistan selector, has created a nightmarish situation for the Pakistan Cricket Board after Imam-ul-Haq's calf injury was called up for investigation by him.
While several cricket experts questioned the legitimacy of Imam's injury, Aaqib Javed's involvement could result in a loss of face for the PCB if Imam-ul-Haq is found guilty. In fact, Javed also backed Pakistan's decision to recall seven players from England following their two defeats in the three-match series.

Along the same lines, Cricket Iceland mentioned Imam-ul-Haq as the team physio to sarcastically emphasise the fake injury controversy surrounding him after he opted out of playing on the opening day of the second Test against England at Lord's.
For the unaware, Imam-ul-Haq was later found shadow-batting on the field while wearing bandaging around his left calf.
Why did Iceland Cricket mention English individuals?
Cricket Iceland also mentioned Rob Key, since he has faced several allegations as the managing director of England men's cricket, including a perceived obsession with playing golf over training.
The narrative was constructed following a string of poor performances, when, amid the Ashes series in Australia, the England squad was accused of caring more about playing golf than focusing on international cricket.
Rob Key then stepped in to demand that the players stop speaking about golf publicly and refrain from posting golf-related content on social media, as the England unit was going downhill because of their poor performances, while viral clips showed them enjoying golf sessions during Test tours.
Harry Brook was named the captain of the team and post-match party organiser as part of Iceland's sarcastic humour.
Brook was involved in a late-night altercation with a nightclub bouncer in Wellington, New Zealand, in another controversy where he was reportedly punched by the bouncer and also faced disciplinary action from the England and Wales Cricket Board.
Why was Gambhir named alongside the nightmarish management individuals?
Iceland's sarcastic nature was further revealed when they named Gautam Gambhir as head coach in their team of management personnel of nightmares.
While Gambhir hasn't done anything wrong or controversial off the field or on the field with India, under Gambhir, India have been under strict scrutiny and walking on their tiptoes. Recently though, he was summoned by the BCCI alongside other decision-makers for an urgent meeting.
Gambhir's philosophy has been pretty straightforward. Good performances are rewarded, while bad performances are not entertained for long, which might have invited Iceland's mention.
Although there is no clear indication of why teh association mentioned Gautam Gambhir, a popular theory about the India head coach prioritising his favourites in the playing XI could also be a reason.
Players like Harshit Rana, among others, have found repeated places in the squad despite being out with injury for a long time, while players like Mohammed Shami, who proved his worth while playing domestic cricket, have still not found a place to make a solid comeback to the national team.
Regardless, the post remains viral, having been made at around 5 PM IST. The post received 3.6K views on Twitter and 144 likes. As the post slowly gained traction, some users have even suggested Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi as the administrative head of the management team of nightmares.
