All thanks to the persistent rain due to the bad weather Bengaluru, we have officially started losing overs in the fifth T20I between India and West Indies, scheduled to take place on Saturday evening at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
With the series on the line, both India and West Indies came to the ground well on time, but the rain gods had other plans for the day, as the toss was delayed earlier in the evening.
IND vs WI 5th T20I starts losing overs
As soon as the clock passed 7:45 PM IST, at least two overs were reduced from the IND vs WI 5th T20I.
The rain gods have not taken a breather in Bengaluru, ensuring the covers stayed on the main pitch and even the outfield.
Although the drainage system at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is among the best, the players, along with the groundsmen and officials, are kept inside and forced to take a hot sip of tea.

What will happen if the IND vs WI 5th T20I gets washed out?
With both India and West Indies winning two games each in the IND vs WI T20Is, the coveted trophy will be shared between Shreyas Iyer and Shai Hope.
As both teams have played quality T20 cricket in the bilateral series, where nearly 1800 runs were smacked by the two teams, India and West Indies will both be unhappy with the outcome.
If the Windies win, it would be their first bilateral victory on Indian soil since the 2002–03 tour.
Nevertheless, it will still be remembered for Shai Hope’s spectacular batting show, as the Windies captain has racked up 261 runs off four innings, featuring two hundreds and a half-century.
