Taking on board learnings from previous campaigns, we have gone about things slightly differently this time, ensuring that our players are getting some game time outdoors much closer to the tournament," Guest concluded.Notably, the five non-travelling reserves will be available throughout the winter programme, including the two-week training period in India following the T20 series. How did England U19 Women perform previously in the T20 World Cup?England’s Under-19 team have previously played in two editions of the Under-19 T20 World Cup, in 2023 and 2025. In South Africa, three years ago, England finished as the runners-up after being defeated by India by seven wickets in the final. Meanwhile, they were eliminated in the semifinals again by the India Women’s Under-19 team in Malaysia in the previous edition. The 2023 campaign was led by Grace Scrivens, as the team went through an unbeaten run in the group and Super Six stages. However, even after showing valiant efforts by defeating Australia by three runs in a low-scoring semifinal, they fell short against India after being bowled out for just 68 runs in the final. The 2025 edition too had the same fate for England Women, as India dominated England by nine wickets in Kuala Lumpur. England struggled to post a total of 113 runs on the board after a middle-order collapse, and India made quick work of the target, with openers G. Kamalini and Gongadi Thirsha sharing a dominant partnership and scoring 44 runs in the powerplay alone. Both these defeats will now serve as motivation for the England Under-19 team to seek revenge and work their way towards the title in the 2027 edition. Also Read- Gautam Gambhir Addresses Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya’s Fragile Fitness Woes
