Instead, he is called up on a project basis on several stints by the VVS Laxman-led unit to train young individuals at CoE, as he did recently.Kumble’s role is more of a consultative and project-by-project basis management, primarily assisting with player development. He acts as a specialist consultant conducting several spin bowling masterclasses for individuals whom BCCI identified as future talents.For the unaware, Kumble previously served as a Chairman of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and the Head of the BCCI Technical Committee but transitioned over these roles many years ago and is now currently operating professionally as a cricket expert.Anil Kumble was the head coach of the Indian teamFor those unaware, Kumble also served as the head coach of the Indian cricket team, briefly from June 23, 2016, to June 20, 2017 before getting a non-appreciable exit.
