Delhi Capitals (DC) co-owner Parth Jindal has shared his first public reaction after the blockbuster trade involving Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav.
The official confirmation of the player exchange came on June 23. In the remarkable deal, Rishabh Pant returned to Delhi Capitals, while Kuldeep moved to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
The trade has become one of the biggest player moves in IPL history and has generated huge discussion among cricket fans on social media.
Rishabh Pant And Kuldeep Yadav IPL Switch Done And Dusted!
The much-awaited trade between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants has finally been completed. It is vital to note that Rishabh Pant has returned to Delhi after spending two seasons with Lucknow Super Giants, while Kuldeep Yadav has joined the Lucknow-based franchise.
Pant's time with LSG did not go as planned, as the wicketkeeper-batter struggled for consistency with the bat and was unable to guide the team to the playoffs during his captaincy stint.
In the IPL 2026, the star player just managed 312 runs in 13 innings at an average of 28.36 and a strike rate of 138.05. His return to Delhi Capitals gives him a chance to rediscover the form that made him one of the league's biggest stars.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav leaves Delhi after five seasons. Despite a difficult IPL 2026 campaign, he played a crucial role for DC over the years.
In IPL 2026, the Indian spin bowler took 10 wickets in 11 innings at an economy rate of 10.30.
What Are The Trade Fees For Pant And Kuldeep?
As part of the trade agreement, Rishabh Pant will play for Delhi Capitals at a revised salary of INR 15 crore. This is significantly lower than the INR 27 crore deal he received when Lucknow Super Giants signed him at the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Kuldeep Yadav, on the other hand, has joined Lucknow Super Giants at his existing fee of INR 13.50 crore.

The trade marks a major financial adjustment for both franchises. While Delhi secure the return of their former captain, Lucknow strengthen their bowling attack with one of India's leading white-ball spinners.
Parth Jindal Thanks Kuldeep and Welcomes Pant Home
After the trade was made official, Parth Jindal shared a heartfelt message for both players.
He thanked Kuldeep Yadav for his dedication and performances over the last five years, describing him as an important part of the Delhi Capitals setup.
Dear Kuldeep thank you for your service over the last 5 years @DelhiCapitals you have been a core part of our team and you will be sorely missed. Go well - you are a champion player and i am sure you will do extremely well back in your home ground. Rishabh - Kiran and I are both happy to have you back at DC. Hope you can find your best form back home in Delhi. @IPL
At the same time, he expressed his happiness over Pant's return to Delhi. Jindal said that he and fellow co-owner were delighted to have Pant back and hoped that the wicketkeeper-batter would regain his best form in familiar surroundings.
