At the age of just 14, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi did wonders during IPL 2025 after Rajasthan Royals signed him for INR 1.1 crore. And he exploded the following year, winning almost every seasonal award of IPL 2026 after a season that will be talked about for decades.
Coming as bad news for bowlers, Vaibhav does have a younger brother. His name is Aashirwad Sooryavanshi, and he is just 10 years old. And at such a young age, he has already started making headlines.
Aashirwad Sooryavanshi, Vaibhav's Brother, Slams Century
While representing Cricket Academy Tajpur, Aashirwad smashed 20 fours and one six in an 87-ball 103 in a local practice game. To celebrate the moment, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi took to social media.
He posted an image on his Instagram story showing the scorecard that mentioned Aashirwad Sooryavanshi’s century. He captioned: “Congratulations Ashirvad,” with two red hearts to close it.
At the age of just 15, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has already aggregated 1028 runs after 23 IPL matches, that too at a strike rate of 228.95. Of them, 776 runs came only in IPL 2026, that too at a strike rate of 237.31.

Riding on his unreal supremacy, Vaibhav won the Orange Cap in IPL 2026, as well as the Emerging Player of the Season and Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season, making it an unthinkable accomplishment.
Now, time will tell whether Aashirwad Sooryavanshi can follow in Vaibhav’s footsteps. Nevertheless, as things stand, it can be safe to say that he will come to the bigger stage at some point in time in the future, and at that moment, whether he will be as fearless as Vaibhav against the world’s best bowlers when the whole world will be watching.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Currently In Sri Lanka
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is currently in Sri Lanka, where India A and Afghanistan A are playing Sri Lanka A. Sooryavanshi did not have an exceptional start, making 12-ball 14 and 22-ball 44 in his first two outings.
Nonetheless, he will get more opportunities in the times to come for the Men in Blue. Plus, he has recently been picked for India’s senior squad as well for the Ireland T20Is.
There, Shreyas Iyer will be captaining the India’s T20I side, with Tilak Varma playing as his deputy. The two T20Is are scheduled to take place on June 26 and June 28, respectively.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will next be in action on Monday (June 15) when India A will play Sri Lanka A once again in Dambulla.
