One of Mumbai Indians' IPL 2026 squad members beat Ishan Kishan to become the costliest buy in the Jharkhand T20 league auction. Ishan Kishan recently had a fabulous IPL campaign, emerging as one of the most prolific performers for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The swashbuckling southpaw hammered 602 runs in 15 innings at an average of 40.13 and a strike rate of 182.42. However, despite his stunning returns in the IPL 2026, Ishan couldn't become the costliest player in the Jharkhand T20 league, losing the battle to Robin Minz.

The highly anticipated auction for the inaugural Jharkhand T20 league was held on Saturday, May 30. The Jharkhand State Cricket Association conducted the mega event at Wave International Hotel.
The six participating teams- Ranchi Titans, Jamshedpur Steelers, Chota Nagpur Royals, Koylanchal Super Kings, Dhanbad Diamonds and Santhal Strikers- were allotted a budget of INR 50 lakhs to build their respective squads for the Jharkhand T20 league.
Robin Minz, who played for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026, bagged a lucrative deal, becoming the most expensive player in the inaugural Jharkhand T20 league auction.

Known for his clean-striking abilities, Robin Minz was roped in by the Koylanchal Super Kings, a franchise that also signed the likes of Utkarsh Singh, Shubham Sharma, Sharandeep Singh, Harsh Raj and Amit Kumar.
Ishan Kishan, on the other hand, was purchased by the Santhal Strikers and joined impactful performers like Manishi, Vivek Kumar, Ravi Yadav, Vikas Kumar, Kumar Suraj, Raunak Kumar, Vibhor Pandey and Ritesh Patel.
Robin Minz vs Ishan Kishan Jharkhand T20 league price comparison
Mumbai Indians' wicketkeeper-batter Robin Minz was purchased by Koylanchal Super Kings for INR 15.25 lakh. According to Dainik Jagran, Ishan Kishan joined Santhal Strikers for INR 6.25 lakh.
So, Ishan will receive nine lakhs less than Robin Minz in the Jharkhand T20 league. If we compare their recent performances, Ishan Kishan comprehensively outclassed Robin Minz in the IPL 2026.
Ishan began his IPL 2026 campaign as the SRH captain in the absence of Pat Cummins. The explosive batter, who played a pivotal role in India's triumphant T20 World Cup campaign, sustained his dream run in the IPL this season.
He hammered 602 runs in 15 innings, while Robin Minz managed only six runs in two outings for Mumbai Indians. Although he hasn't had a great IPL journey so far, Minz is a reputed striker of the ball in the domestic circuit.
Robin Minz has a strike rate of 155.06 across 18 T20s. Given that Ishan could miss some portion of the Jharkhand T20 league due to national commitments, Minz's stature as a fierce powerhitter helped him earn the most lucrative contract in the Jharkhand T20 league auction.
When will Jharkhand T20 league be played?
The official schedule for the Jharkhand T20 league has yet to be announced. However, according to reports, the tournament will likely be played from June 15 to 29, which is the tentative window for the domestic T20 competition.
