Babar Azam struck 100 runs off 151 balls against the West Indies Select XI in Pakistan’s four-day tour match. Getting re-appointed as Pakistan Test captain, the legendary batter hit 12 boundaries and a six before instantly getting ‘retired hurt’.

The tour match serves as a precursor to Pakistan’s upcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies team in the Caribbean.
Ashutosh Sharma joins Hampshire for One-Day Cup 2026
Delhi Capitals star Ashutosh Sharma has been roped in by the Hampshire Cricket Club in England for the One-Day Cup 2026 season. Hampshire director of cricket Giles White welcomed the 27-year-old, saying “We're really pleased to sign Ashutosh for the One-Day Cup.”
Sharma recently played eight matches for the Delhi Capitals franchise in the IPL 2026 season, scoring 171 runs in just eight innings of the tournament at a staggering strike rate of 181.91.
Nathan Smith, Danni Wyatt-Hodge win ICC awards
The ICC has named Nathan Smith and Danni Wyatt-Hodge as the winners of the ICC Player of the Month awards for the month of June 2026. Nathan wrecked England in New Zealand’s remarkable 2-1 Test series win last month, by picking up 16 wickets in six innings. The cricketer also scored a vital 38 at The Oval.
Danni Wyatt, on the other hand, racked up runs in heap for the England Women’s team in the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at home.
MCA name Mumbai team to tour England, Sayali Satghare picked
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has assembled an 18-member squad for the MCA President’s XI Women team for the upcoming tour of England. Star top-order batter Humaira Kazi was named as the captain of the group.
The team features only one international star in the form of India Women’s fast bowler Sayali Satghare. The speedster recently picked up four wickets in India’s historic Test win against England at Lord’s.
Kushagra Ojha scores century for India U19 vs SL
Kushagra Ojha scored a fighting 103* off 177 balls against Sri Lanka U19 on Day 1 of India’s second unofficial Test in Colombo. Batting at number three, the 16-year-old struck 11 boundaries and two huge sixes after arriving to the crease, with both openers departing for ducks in the first six overs of the match.
Ojha’s counterattacking knock helped India U19 reach a competitive 253-3 from 65 overs before stumps on Day 1.
