The recent IPL 2026 game between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) was not a very good experience for one fan, who has shared his sufferings on social media. This incident happened at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad, on May 6, 2026.
SRH and PBKS clashed in an important game that was to decide which team gets the top place in the IPL 2026 points table. Shreyas Iyer, Punjab Kings captain, won the toss and chose to bowl first in an effort to stem the series of losses his team was suffering.
SRH benefits from PBKS’ poor fielding to put on a terrific score
Abhishek Sharma (35) and Travis Head (38) added 54 runs in 3.3 overs. But the best knocks for the Sunrisers Hyderabad came from Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen. The duo added 84 runs for the third wicket and benefited from poor catching from Punjab fielders.
Kishan was dropped twice on his way to 32-ball 55 and also survived a stumping, hitting 2 fours and 4 sixes. On the other hand, Klaasen made 69 in 43 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes and also survived a dropped catch. They helped SRH post 235/4 in 20 overs.

Punjab Kings' batting fails to get momentum despite Cooper Connolly’s brilliant ton
Cooper Connolly led the Punjab Kings’ chase with a sublime ton. However, the other three top-order batters, Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh, and Shreyas Iyer, fell for single-digit scores. Marcus Stonis (28) and Suryansh Shedge (25) tried their best, but Connolly couldn’t get any good partner at the other end.
Connolly made 107* in 59 balls with 7 fours and 8 sixes as Punjab Kings managed 202/7 in 20 overs and lost the game by 33 runs. Pat Cummins, SRH captain, won the Player of the Match for his 2 wickets and 2 catches.
A fan complains of physical assault by a female bouncer in Hyderabad Stadium
Amidst all this cricketing action, a fan by the name of Gautam shared his suffering on social media, alleging a female bouncer assaulted him and got no help from security at the venue. He stated that he attended the SRH v PBKS match on May 6 and went to get some refreshments.
There, he was a female bouncer, who began misbehaving with him, and when he tried to record the same, she tried to snatch his phone and escalated things more. She also ran out of the stadium with her phone.
Furthermore, he also revealed that the bouncer tried to delete the video and had the phone with her for more than 30 minutes and accused her of theft, assault & destruction of property.
Fan files formal complaint with police after receiving help from SRH management
The fan then revealed that he received swift help from SRH Gold East Lounge management, who tracked the female bouncer who was trying to exit from the main gate, recovering his phone in the process. He added that the bouncer had tried to delete the evidence video and refused to apologize for her mistakes.
He stated that he had filed a formal complaint at the on-site police control room at the venue and shared the photographic evidence of the complaint and the female bouncer. He tagged DCP Telangana, SHO Rachakonda, and Cyberabad police.
He received a reply from the Hyderabad City Police X handle, who tagged the Malkagiri police station for investigation.
SRH goes on top of the IPL 2026 points table
Meanwhile, this 33-run win over Punjab Kings meant that Sunrisers Hyderabad had gone to the top of the IPL 2026 points table.
This is because they have 7 wins from 10 games and 14 points to their name. Meanwhile, PBKS slipped to second place with 6 wins from 10 games and 13 points to their name.
