Rassie van der Dussen retires from international cricket
South Africa top-order batter Rassie van der Dussen has announced his retirement from international cricket. The 37-year-old also confirmed that he will continue to play domestic and franchise cricket, and expressed his commitment in “teaching and mentoring” the next generation of South African players.
Having made his international debut in October 2018, the lanky right-handed batter represented his nation in 18 Tests, 71 ODIs and 57 T20I matches. However, the senior batter has not been considered for national selection since South Africa tour of Australia in August last year.
Mitchell Santner joins Mumbai Indians setup in Delhi
Mitchell Santner has joined the Mumbai Indians franchise in Delhi ahead of their upcoming match against hosts Delhi Capitals this weekend. The legendary New Zealand all-rounder missed Mumbai Indians’ opening match of the tournament owing to personal reasons.

Santner, who played 13 of Mumbai Indians’ 16 matches of the IPL 2025 last year, will be expected to make it the playing XI against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on April 4. The 34-year-old recently led the New Zealand team in their home T20I series against South Africa last month.
Abhishek Sharma joins Rohit Sharma for huge T20 record
SRH opener Abhishek Sharma blasted 48 runs off just 21 balls against KKR in match number six of the IPL 2026 season. The blistering left-hander launched four fours and four huge sixes at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata in the process. Through the course of his knock, young Abhishek has now completed 300 T20 sixes as an opener, becoming only the second Indian batter after former national captain Rohit Sharma to attain the landmark figure.
Overall, the SRH opener has charted 329 sixes in T20 cricket in just 179 innings ever since he made his format debut back in May 2018.
Sameer Minhas smashes record knock in PSL 2026 for United
Sameer Minhas blazed Islamabad United to a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Quetta Gladiators in match number nine of the PSL 2026 season. Opening the innings, the 19-year-old compiled 82* runs off just 48 balls with eight fours and three huge sixes at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Through the course of his knock, Minhas also became the second youngest cricketer in the history of PSL to register a fifty-plus score, falling behind Qasim Akram’s record from 2022.
Australia to tour Zimbabwe in September 2026
The Australian cricket team is set to tour Zimbabwe in September later this year. The two teams will be facing each other in a series of three ODI matches. All three games will be hosted by the Harare Sports Club in Harare between September 15 and September 20.
The series will also serve as a testing ground for the two sides ahead of next year’s 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
