This has been a dominating performance from South Africa as they go 1-0 up in the series to continue their dominating run on the tour...Chasing 131, South Africa rode on some fine batting from Luus and Bosch to go over the line...They did lose an early wicket but a 90-run stand between Luus and Bosch helped SA took them over the line...Bosch remained unbeaten at 66 while Luus got out for 43...Earlier, India were on the course of a big total after Rodrigues and Harleen had a partnership in the middle overs but the departure of Deol saw India losing four wickets in a span of 14 runs to get restricted to 130/6 in 20 overs...Harleen though scored maiden fifty in T20Is...The second T20I will take place on Sunday on the same venue...Till then, you stay glued with us for the LIVE UPDATES and all the cricketing action from around the world...It's me Somya Kapoor along with Abhishek signing off
Anne Bosch | Player of the Match: It feels a bit like deja vu. To do it again is unbelievable. But credit to the bowlers for restricting India to 130/6. Sunne did a good job to keep me calm. We wanted to keep the required rate under 7, that was our plan. Rotating the strike also was key there, overall excellent performance.
Sune Luus: There is always something we can improve on but I thought we did well to break that partnership between Harleen and Jemimah. It was really good to see Anne get her first T20I fifty. We know this is a high-scoring ground, to restrict them to 130 was amazing. The field quickened up when we were batting. We did really well today.
Smriti Mandhana: I have to see how it goes overnight, at the moment it looks better though (on her injury). I think we fought really well. Fielding need to get better. I really like to mention Simran, the way she bowled was outstanding. The way all the youngsters came in was good, we have 24 hours for the next match, so need to buckle up and come back stronger.
Pretty impressive performance from Harleen Deol...First she notched up a half-century and then picked up a wicket...Good all-round performance from her
