That brings us to the end of our coverage for today. Till the next time, its adieus from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentator Ovaise Shariff along with our scorer/ statistician Paras Yadav.
Arya- The target could have been a tricky one for Gloucestershire and the Kent Spitfires bowlers breathed fired in the opening spell and bagged three important wickets to put them on the backfoot. Jack Leaning and Grant Stewart started off brilliantly for the bowling team as they kept hitting the right lines and reduced them to 35/3 in the powerplay.
Ryan Higgins who was one of the most important batters for Kent but he was dismissed just after making 8 and it would have been a difficult chase from there on. However, what transpired next was just sensible batting which got Gloucestershire over the line. Glenn Philips took it on his own hands to take his side over the finishing line. He batted quite sensibly and in the company of Jack Taylor, made light work of the target. While Philips scored a half-century, Tayor remained unbeaten on 31.
Earlier in the day, it was a great piece of bowling by Gloucestershire to skittle out Kent for just 114 runs inside the 20th over. Jordan Cox was the only man who got going and eventually fell short of the half-century mark by just a couple of runs. Wickets kept falling in regular intervals and Kent couldn't quite get over the 120 mark.
So my prediction has come true as Gloucestershire has thrashed Kent by 6 wickets. Utterly comprehensive performance from Gloucestershire.
6 Tossed up delivery, on the stumps, Phillips slogs this over the deep mid-wicket fielder and travels all the way into the stands, Glenn Phillips finishes it off in style, Gloucestershire have won by 6 wickets!!
14.2 G Linde to G Phillips
6 SIXXX!! Drags his length short, Phillips goes on the backfoot and slams it over the long-on fielder!! Powerful hit by the New Zealand wicketkeeper!! WOW!!
14.1 G Linde to J Taylor
1 Short and wide of the off stump, cuts it wide of the point fielder for a single.
