In the T20I format, each team gets only 20 overs, 120 legal balls to be precise. Thus, considering the fast-paced nature of the format, scoring anything above 30 is considered an achievement.

All the cricketers listed share the rare milestone of smashing a blistering 15-ball half-century in Twenty20 cricket, the fifth fastest 50 in T20Is.
Faisal Khan achieved the feat for Saudi Arabia against Kuwait in 2019. Quinton de Kock smashed it for South Africa against the West Indies in 2023. Babar Hayat blasted for Hong Kong against the UAE in 2023. Taranjit Singh scored for Cyprus against Estonia in 2024.
Meanwhile, Shivam Dube hit a standout 15-ball 50 to help his team match this elite global timing. Yuvraj Samra also etched his name into this explosive club by racing to a 15-ball half-century.
4) Abhishek Sharma, Sahil Chauhan, Ramesh Satheesan, Colin Munro: 14 balls
Abhishek Sharma, Sahil Chauhan, Ramesh Satheesan, and Colin Munro all share the rare record of having smashed a fifty in just 14 balls, which ranks among the fastest 50 in T20Is.
Sahil Chauhan (Estonia) scored an unbeaten 144 off just 41 balls against Cyprus in 2024, reaching his 50 in 14 deliveries. In the process, he broke the records for both the fastest T20I century (in 27 balls) and the most sixes in an innings (18 sixes).

On January 1, 2026, Abhishek Sharma (India) reached his half-century off 14 balls against New Zealand during the third T20I in Guwahati. This historic knock is India's second-fastest 50 in T20Is, trailing only Yuvraj Singh's legendary 12-ball effort.
Colin Munro (New Zealand) demolished the Sri Lankan attack in 2016 by blasting a 14-ball fifty. He struck seven sixes and just one four in his unbeaten 50-run knock, sealing a massive nine-wicket victory for the Blackcaps in just 10 overs.
Meanwhile, Ramesh Satheesan (Romania) achieved his explosive 14-ball half-century during the Continental Cup on June 26, 2021, establishing himself as one of the most destructive batters in European T20 cricket.
3) Shujaat Rasool, Jan Frylinck, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Muhammad Fahad, Mirza Ahsan: 13 balls
All these cricketers share the distinction of hitting a half-century in 13 balls in men’s T20 Internationals. This puts them in a tie for the joint third-fastest fifties in T20Is.
Mirza Ahsan from Austria smashed a 13-ball fifty against Luxembourg on August 31, 2019, during the Continental Cup in Romania. Turkey’s Muhammad Fahad reached his fifty in 13 balls during a blistering 120-run knock against Bulgaria on July 12, 2025.
Tadiwanashe Marumani from Zimbabwe reached the milestone against Gambia on October 23, 2024, becoming the fastest 50 in T20Is by a Zimbabwean. Namibia’s Jan Frylinck hit his 13-ball fifty against Zimbabwe on September 18, 2025, in Bulawayo.
Lastly, Bahrain's Shujaat Rasool blasted a record-breaking fifty off just 13 balls against Singapore during Match 8 of the Asian Games Men's T20I Qualifier 2026 to join the third position on the list of fastest 50 in T20Is.
2) Yuvraj Singh: 12 balls
Yuvraj Singh holds the record for the fastest fifty in an ICC T20 World Cup, bringing up his half-century in just 12 balls against England on September 19, 2007. Singh’s spectacular innings is immortalised by his feat of hitting six consecutive sixes in a single Stuart Broad over.
In the pursuit, he held the record for the fastest 50 in T20Is, which was later broken by Dipendra Singh Airee in 2023.
1) Dipendra Singh Airee: 9 balls
Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee scored an unbeaten 52 off just 10 balls in the match played at the Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field in Hangzhou, Republic of China. The record knock featured eight sixes, including six successive maximums, of which five came in the penultimate over.
Dipendra Singh Airee holds the record for the fastest 50 in T20Is, courtesy of his outstanding nine-ball half-century scored on September 27, 2023, against Mongolia at the Asian Games 2023 in a group stage match. The knock is also the fastest fifty in T20 Internationals (T20Is).
