The IPL 2026 is over, with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeating the Gujarat Titans to win their second successive IPL title. The recently concluded tournament witnessed a run-feast, as 700 individual runs were scored for fun, and at the same time, several bowlers responded with breathtaking wicket-taking displays.

The Indian Premier League, as the name suggests, had numerous Indian players who delivered the goods in the IPL 2026. While some performed exceedingly well with the bat, others delivered with the ball.

• 776 runs in just 16 matches, with an astonishing strike rate of 237, defined Sooryavanshi’s IPL 2026 numbers. He swept away numerous awards at the end of the IPL, and was certainly the best player in the tournament.

2) Bhuvneshwar Kumar

When RCB spent a hefty amount of money to buy Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the IPL mega auction, many laughed at RCB’s strategy. However, the move paid off as the “swing King” became the most important bowler of his franchise.

He had a stellar IPL 2025 season with the ball, but the right-arm pacer bettered his tally from 2025, and was one of the main reasons why the RCB side won back-to-back titles.

• 28 wickets in 16 matches, with an economy of less than 8 runs per over, Bhuvneshwar was certainly the best bowler in the IPL 2026 campaign.
• He took wickets in the power play, came back to deliver in the middle-overs, and also scalped wickets in the death overs. Moreover, with flat pitches being produced in the IPL, Bhuvi still managed to have an economy rate of just 7.95, and it showcases his brilliance.

3) Shubman Gill

Before the IPL 2026, Shubman Gill was omitted from India’s T20I squad, but the recently concluded tournament proved one thing right: Gill still deserves to get a place in the game’s shortest format.

4) Rajat Patidar

The only captain after MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma to win back-to-back IPL titles, Rajat Patidar entered an elite list after winning the championship on Sunday. As a captain, he was on point with his tactics and was top-notch with his man-management skills.

Apart from his captaincy, Patidar also delivered with the bat for RCB, and was a key batter in their middle-order.

• This was the first time that Patidar managed to cross the 500-run mark in the IPL, as he finished with 501 crucial runs, but most importantly, he had an astonishing strike rate of 192.69.
• Stats don’t reveal his true impact for the RCB, as Patidar often scored quickfire 30s and 40s to give a boost to his team’s chances, and was pivotal in their success in Qualifier 1, where he blew away the Gujarat Titans.

5) Krunal Pandya

The most underrated player in IPL history, Krunal Pandya, delivered for RCB in back-to-back IPL campaigns. He was the real crisis man for the Red Army, as he scored match-winning runs, and also took wickets whenever RCB needed a breakthrough.
