It has been two days since RCB lifted the IPL title for the 2nd time, and the celebrations refuse to die down. The fans all across the globe are rejoicing with happiness. Not only the cricket fraternity, but also respected figures from different professions are celebrating RCB’s win.

In the latest events, Australia Deputy PM and Minister for Defence Richard Marles, who is on a business trip to India, spoke about Virat Kohli and RCB’s win during a biltaral meeting between Australia and India delegates in New Delhi.

Australia Deputy PM Confesses Love For Virat Kohli

Australia Deputy PM Richard Marles confessed his love for Virat Kohli and stated that the RCB opener is a huge name in Australia. Virat Kohli has been the talk of the town ever since RCB won their 2nd IPL trophy in Ahmedabad.

"When I was here last year, it was the morning after the final of the Indian Premier League, as it is, of course, this morning. Last night, as we saw a year ago, we saw RCB triumph. But I like the fact that Virat Kohli was 75 not out and was man of the match, but alongside him were Josh Hazlewood and Tim David," ANI reported Marles as saying.

"So there was very much an Australian-Indian bilateral theme at play last night as RCB won the IPL. And that is emblematic, I think, of the relationship between our two countries," he added.

Deputy PM Pays Special Tribute To Bishan Singh Bedi

"Virat Kohli is a huge name in Australia right now, but as I grew up, the very first Indian cricket captain I remember was Bishan Bedi; they were the great names of that era. Everyone in this room is easily the most well-known person in Australia today."

Australia Deputy PM Meets Kapil Dev

Australia Deputy PM also expressed his love for Kapil Dev, who was present during the bilateral meet. Marles regarded Dev as his role-model and remarked that it was an honour for him to be sharing the same stage with the 1983 World Cup winner.

"It is quite a thrill for me to be standing next to the great Kapil Dev... The relationship between Australia and India is at a high point... In so many ways, the shared passion that we have for life is embodied in our passion for cricket," Marles said.

Rajat Patidar Promises 3rd Title For RCB

RCB have already achieved the unthinkable, which is two back to back titles. They have matched the legacy of MI and CSK, who are the only two teams to have won 2 consecutive trophies. However, they now eye a feat that no other team has ever achieved in the history of the tournament, which is 3 straight IPL trophies.

Recently, Rajat Patidar too vowed for it and promised to RCB’s Director of cricket Mo Bobat that they will go for the 3rd title as well.

“I’ve got one last thing to say. No team’s ever won three IPL trophies in a row. Skipper, what do you reckon? Three in a row next year?”

Rajat Patidar replied, “Definitely.”
