Another mystery spinner in the making, Maheesh Theekshana is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer for Colts Cricket Club. A right-arm offie by profession, his unusual wrist position while bowling makes him a lethal spinner across all formats.
Predominantly a white-ball cricketer, Maheesh made his T20 debut against Galle Cricket Club on March 1st, 2018 and bowled an excellent spell, picking up a wicket for 14 runs in his 4 overs spell. The Colt’s youngster made his first-class debut in December 2018, taking figures of 2-72 against Colombo.
The Kandy-born bagged his maiden fifer against Sinhalese in just his second first-class outing and proved his worth in the longer formats as well. The talented spinner, who has also produced some important knocks batting lower down the order has had a major impact on domestic cricket in the past couple of seasons and his next goal is to don the Sri Lankan jersey.
