Milestone
Time to wrap up our coverage from the first game of the Sunday double-header where the Quetta Gladiators have decimated the Hyderabad Kings by 40 runs to earn the victory. Now it is time for us to switch to the second game of today's PSL double-header. Lahore Qalandars will lock horns with the Karachi Kings in just half and hour time. Do join us for that.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ajay Pal Singh and Akshaya Krishna Polya and the scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer.
Saud Shakeel (Quetta Gladiators Captain): "[On what he thought at the halfway mark] I thought I didn't read the pitch well. It was dry and the score we get, 170-180, that's exactly what was needed here.

[On Shamyl, Hasan Nawaz and Tom Curran's batting] Yeah, Hasan and Shamyl batted with maturity. The way Tom finished at the end, it helped us to get momentum and we took that in our bowling.

That was the plan, to get 2-3 wickets in powerplay. Whatever we had planned, we were able to execute it. Can't ask for more.

I gave a salute to Ahmed Daniyal. It is rare to see a bowler hit his mark so consistently."
Marnus Labuschagne (Hyderabad Kingsmen Captain): "(Alarming factors after the first two games) I think we lost two or three wickets in the powerplay and that stems the run flow. Saim and Maaz are great players. So we know they can come good. And when it will happen, we will jump with the momentum. Probably the other two faces are the backend. Theekshana was really good. He threw the pressure back on them. We have a lot to work on.

(About the fielding blips) Trying to think of myself. Ya I dropped a couple of sitters in the deep. We are trying really well. The guys are putting the effort and I hope the result will come off."
Shamyl Hussain (POTM): "[How it feels to get back-to-back fifties] Yeah, it does feel good. I didn't think of it, just trying to play the ball on its merit.

[On what his plans were today] You can't preplan things. We lost quick wickets, me and Hasan had a chat to not take risks and pick our bowlers, lengthen the innings and score runs.

[On Hasan Nawaz] We know Hasan is a great batter. We have played a lot together in Islamabad. It is good to be out here at the big stage. That's just the adrenaline, nothing else."
