The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on July 23, 2026, announced the much-anticipated home schedule for Men and Women, with the five-Test Ashes for the men’s and the women’s multi-format Ashes headlining a packed home summer.

Following their 4-1 crushing Down Under earlier this year, the Men’s side will begin their bid to reclaim the Ashes at Trent Bridge on June 18 before Tests at Lord's, Edgbaston, the Rose Bowl and The Oval.

ECB Announces England Cricket Team’s jam-packed schedule in anticipation of the 2027 ODI World Cup

The road to the 2027 ODI World Cup has already begun for every team. Along the same lines, the ECB also announced a bustling white-ball schedule, involving key bilateral ODI series, including tours to Australia and South Africa, a home prep series against Pakistan, and finally a final 3 ODIs against New Zealand.

Notably, England are facing a real risk of missing automatic qualification for the 2027 ODI World Cup, currently sitting 7th in the ICC ODI rankings, with the cutoff on March 31, 2027. They are just above the danger zone, as only the top eight teams plus hosts South Africa and Zimbabwe qualify directly.

The 2027 World Cup runs from October 4 to November 21, co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. That being said, in this article, take a look at the England Cricket Team's schedule before the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Pakistan Tour of England 2026: 3 Tests from August 19- September 13

The Pakistan men's cricket team will play a three-match Test series in England, featuring key fixtures at Headingley Cricket Ground, Lord's Cricket Ground, and Edgbaston Stadium from 19 August to 13 September 2026.

• 1st Test: August 19–23, 2026 – Headingley Cricket Ground, Leeds.
• 2nd Test: August 27–31, 2026 – Lord's Cricket Ground, London.
• 3rd Test: September 9–13, 2026 – Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham.

Sri Lanka Tour of England 2026: 3 T20Is & 3 ODIs from 15 September- 27 September

On June 24, 2025, Sri Lanka cricket announced that the Lankan team will tour England in September 2026 for a white-ball series. The tour will feature three T20Is and three ODIs, with the series kicking off with the T20I leg, starting on 15th September 2026 at Southampton.

England Tour of Australia 2026: 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is from 13 November- 2 December

The Three Lions will tour Australia once more in November 2026 for 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is. The ODI series will begin in Perth on Friday 13 November, before matches in Adelaide and Hobart.

England Men will then return to the MCG to play their first T20 international at the iconic venue since winning the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final there against Pakistan.

The match will open the series on Saturday 21 November, before back-to-back games in Queensland at Gold Coast and Brisbane. The tour concludes with matches in Sydney and Canberra.

England Tour of South Africa 2026-27: 3 Tests and 3 ODIs from 17 December- 15 January

The England men's cricket team tours South Africa from 17 December 2026 to 15 January 2027, featuring 3 Tests and 3 ODIs. The tour will begin with a Test match in Johannesburg at the Wanderers Stadium, followed by a Boxing Day Test match at the SuperSport Park in Centurion, just outside Pretoria.

Finally, the classic New Year's fixture will be played in one of the most scenic and iconic cricket grounds in world cricket, Newlands.

Australia vs England Only Test: March 11, 2027

Australia and England will play a one-off Test match starting on March 11, 2027 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The Australia vs England historic 150th Anniversary One-off Test match is scheduled as a day-night pink-ball fixture to commemorate 150 years of Test cricket since it was first played between the two teams in March 1877.

Pakistan Tour of England 2027: 5 ODIs from May 15- May 27 2027

The Men in Green will tour England to play a five-match ODI series, from May 15 to 26, 2027, with the opening match scheduled to take place in Southampton.

The five-match ODI series will provide both sides with valuable preparation for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, which will be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia from 4 October to 21 November.

England vs Bangladesh Only Test 2027: May 28-June 1, 2027

Bangladesh will return to the Home of Cricket for the first time in 17 years when they play a one-off Test against England at Lord's from May 28 to June 1 next year, with the ECB confirming the full itinerary for Bangladesh men's and women's tours in its 2027 international schedule announced on Thursday.

The Lord’s fixture will be Bangladesh’s only Test of the tour and marks the first time England will host them in a Test since 2010.

Ashes 2027: 5 Tests from June 18- August 2

The England and Wales Cricket Board has officially confirmed the 2027 Men's Ashes series schedule, taking place from June 18 to August 2, 2027. The five-Test series features key venues including Trent Bridge and a historic first-time men's Ashes test at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton.

The New Zealand men's white-ball tour of England is scheduled for September 2027 (not 2026), featuring three T20Is and five ODIs from September 7 to September 25, 2027.
