The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced its home schedule for the 2027 summer, and some blockbuster matches have been announced as the hosts will take on quality teams in their own backyard. While the Ashes will be the highlight of the English summer next year, there is another series that can steal the spotlight.

The Pakistan Cricket Team will also tour England for a riveting white-ball battle, and the ECB revealed the schedule on Thursday as the two sides will battle in a five-match ODI series across multiple venues.

Pakistan tour of England 2027 schedule announced

In the latest development, the Asian side will travel to England, and the matches will take place in May, and here’s how the schedule goes.

  • 15 May – 1st ODI - Southampton
  • 19 May – 2nd ODI - Manchester
  • 21 May – 3rd ODI - Leeds
  • 23 May – 4th ODI - Chester-le-Street
  • 26 May – 5th ODI - Cardiff

The two sides will collide in a Test series next month, and the ODIs will take place next year, as Pakistan will pose a tough challenge for the home side, England.

England ODIs, a chance for Pakistan to prepare for 2027 World Cup

The England vs Pakistan ODI matches will occur in May 2027, and the 2027 World Cup begins in October. Thus, the three-game series will provide Pakistan with a great chance to prepare for the marquee ICC event.

The English conditions will provide seaming decks for the Pakistan batters, and that would be ideal preparation for their batters, as the conditions in South Africa for the World Cup will almost be identical.

The three ODIs will give the Men in Green ample opportunities to get acclimatised to the seaming pitches that could help them get better at such conditions for the ICC World Cup.

Pakistan set to play three-match Test series vs England next month

Next month, Pakistan will face a tricky challenge as the Babar Azam-led side will travel to England for a three-match Test series. The tour will be a part of the WTC 2025-27 cycle, and the visitors cannot afford a slip-up as they are already languishing at the bottom of the table.

The first Test will commence on August 19 at Headingley, Leeds. The second game of the tour will start on August 27 at the iconic Lord’s Stadium, London.
