The win not only marked Zimbabwe’s second successive in the format, but the team also attained a huge record in the process.

Bangladesh at the receiving end of Zimbabwe’s biggest Test win

Notably, it took Zimbabwe just another eight months to surpass their Afghanistan effort. On June 30, i.e., on Day 3 of their one-off Test against Bangladesh in Harare, the hosts secured an emphatic victory by an innings and 85 runs to record their new biggest win margin in the format.

Notably, in Zimbabwe’s 34-year-old Test history, the ‘Chevrons’ have now recorded two of their biggest Test wins in the space of just two matches spanning eight months. Moreover, three of their biggest innings win in Test cricket have all occurred at the iconic Harare Sports Club.
