Heinrich Klaasen for SRH [Source: AP]
Heinrich Klaasen has been one of the most consistent performers for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026. Adding to his tally of remarkable performances, Klaasen has scripted his name in the record books of the Indian Premier League.
Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2023, Heinrich Klaasen has made a massive record of having the most 50-plus scores for the franchise in the IPL.
Heinrich Scripts Massive Record In SRH vs PBKS Clash
While playing the SRH vs PBKS clash on May 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Klaasen scored his 50 off just 32 deliveries while bashing Punjab bowlers.
His 50 now stands tall amid the records of SRH veterans David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan, and Kane Williamson. Klaasen has scored 14 half-centuries for the franchise now and is the joint fourth-highest 50-plus score getter for SRH in the IPL.
Most 50+ Scores for SRH in the IPL

- 19 – Shikhar Dhawan
- 18 – Kane Williamson
- 14 – Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen*
David Warner tops the list with his tally of 42 half-centuries at a remarkable and explosive strike rate.

Heinrich Klaasen Boosts SRH Total After Travi-shek, Kishan Destruction
Klaasen smashed a total of 69 runs off 43 deliveries before getting dismissed by Vyshak Vijaykumar on the last ball of SRH’s innings. Nevertheless, Klaasen's score helped the team post a mammoth total of 235 on the board for Punjab Kings to chase.
At the beginning, Abhishek Sharma walked in, and Ishan Kishan gave a glorious start to Hyderabad's innings, with Kishan getting multiple lifelines because of several catch drops by Punjab Kings fielders. Nitish Kumar Reddy too chipped in with a quickfire 13-ball 29 before the innings ended.
Nevertheless, Klaasen also utilised the flat track to strike at 160.47 in the match while hitting four sixes and three boundaries. However, this total of 69 for Klaasen is not a new story this season.

Klaasen Proved Everyone Wrong
In IPL 2026, Heinrich Klaasen has maintained an average of 54.89 and a strike rate of 157.32 across 11 matches, with consistent scores throughout.
This was something that wasn't expected from the Proteas wicketkeeper-batter, since he came off the SA20 2025-26, playing for the Durban Super Giants, where he only managed to average 19.71 with the bat.
His strike rate, too, was relatively low at 128.97 across the seven matches he played. Hence, though he was retained by SRH for 23 crore INR ahead of the IPL 2026 season, there was little expectation of him given his recent form.
However, Klaasen proved everyone wrong by bagging these elite records and is possibly set to lead Hyderabad into the IPL 2026 playoffs with his brilliance with the bat.
