The much-awaited two-match Test series between Australia and Bangladesh kicked off on Thursday, August 13. The two teams locked horns at the Marrara Stadium in Darwin for the series opener.

Australia, led by Pat Cummins, won the toss and opted to bat first. The decision turned out to be a nightmare because the Baggy Greens tumbled for just 198 runs on the board.
