Australia are all set to host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series starting on August 13. The Tigers are on their first-ever visit Down Under since 2003, and the Najmul Shanto-led side are sweating hard in the nets.
Australia had the opportunity to test their second-string side in the upcoming series, but Cricket Australia opted for a strong squad led by Pat Cummins. The hosts are the favourites to win the series, and the preparations across both camps also reflect the mood within the group.
Australia Go Golfing while Bangladesh Sweat In Nets
Marrara Oval in Darwin will host the inaugural Test match, and two days ahead of the key fixture, the Bangladesh side is sweating hard in the nets while the Australian team is busy golfing. A video has gone viral on social media featuring Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne enjoying golf.
Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Travis Head, and Beau Webster went for a game of golf, and hilarious scenes have emerged from their game session.
Australia’s Golfing Session Disrupts Bangladesh’s Training
Australia’s group golf session turned into a headache for Bangladesh cricketers because both activities took place in adjacent spaces. Notably, Bangladesh were all focused on the cricket, but the above-mentioned four Australian cricketers were having the time of their lives at golf in the field next to Bangladesh’s training session.
Steve Smith and Travis Head’s wayward shots landed right on the training nets and disrupted Bangladesh’s training session. Fortunately none of the players got injured and the bals landed on top of the net.
A video has gone viral where Marnus Labuschagne put the blame on Steve Smith while they approached the Bangladesh management to get their golf balls back. It was all in fun and laughter as the Tigers too had smiles on their face while interacting with the Australian stars.


Bangladesh Off To A Troubling Start In Australia
The two-match Test series is yet to officially kickstart and Bangladesh are already sweating hard. Recently, The Tigers locked horns against Cricket Australia XI and suffered a crushing defeat.

The Najmul Shanto-led side tumbled for just 54 runs in the 2nd innings, which resulted in Cricket Australia XI registering a win by an innings and 38 runs. It was a big reality check for Bangladesh. Hence, The Tigers are sweating hard in panic thinking about what lies ahead.
Bangladesh's Injury Saga Disrupts Australia Preparations
Ahead of the upcoming series, Bangladesh have a long list of injured cricketers, which is why they even struggled against the likes of Cricket Australia XI. At present, The Tigers are without Nahid Rana, their main bowler, who would have excelled on Australia's fast-paced tracks.
Further, they are without Mustafizur Rahman. Bangladesh have recieved a massive boost because Litton Das has been declared fit and was a late addition to the 15-member squad for the 1st Test. Earlier, Das was expected to miss the opening Test against Australia.
