Having made his T20I debut in 2022, the pacer took just four years to attain the milestone, and only Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and Axar Patel are ahead of him.

A look at Arshdeep Singh's 100 T20I journey
Four years ago, against England in July 2022, the left-arm seamer got his maiden T20I cap, and since then, he has become a regular member of the team, having played in three T20I World Cups and winning two of them.
In 100 T20I matches, the pacer has become a wicket-taking machine, having scalped 145 wickets, with an average of 20.30, and an economy rate of 8.62.
In fact, Arshdeep, in such a short span of time, has become India’s leading wicket-taker in this format (145 wickets). The next best is Jasprit Bumrah, who has 126 scalps to his name.
This year in 27 T20Is, the left-arm bowler has 35 wickets under his belt, with an economy of 9.21.
Why Arshdeep can surpass Rohit Sharma's record?
Rohit Sharma stands tall with 159 matches to his name, and Arshdeep has a solid chance to surpass the mark. Amongst the current generation of players. Hardik Pandya is injury-prone, and he has been out of the team. Suryakumar Yadav, who has played in 113 T20I matches, has been out of the side as well.
Bumrah doesn’t play every T20I match as the BCCI carefully manages his workload. Hence, Arshdeep has a strong chance to become the player to play the most T20I matches for India.
