After losing the opening Test match, the Temba Bavuma-led South Africa are making a comeback in the three-match series, and how! The return of Kagiso Rabada has added a whole new passion to the Proteas unit.

Despite batting on rain-affected first two days, South Africa were able to post 425/9 on the board, thanks to Bavuma and Simon Harmer who helped the Proteas declare the innings on their terms on the moving day. The following day, the Proteas seamers made life hell for the Aussie batters, restricting them to their lowest-ever total vs South Africa.

Returning to the South Africa's starting 11 after missing the first Test due to an injury, Kagiso Rabada has been firing cylinders in the ongoing fixture at Gqeberha. Notably, he bowled a delivery at nearly 155 kmph to Travis Head during the first innings.

Although KG could only bag two wickets in the first, the speedster has already taken two in the second, with six more wickets still remaining.

From the Australian point of view, they are at 156/4, with Travis Head on 87* in the middle, but they still trailing by 170 runs.

How has SA vs AUS 2nd Test fared after four days in Gqeberha?

Talking the game so far, the Proteas were put in to bat in tough conditions at Gqeberha, with clouds hovering overhead and conditions aiding the faster bowlers. Scott Boland started well for the visitors, bagging four wickets in no time.

However, the home captain, Temba Bavuma, stood tall on his ground. He respected the conditions before teeing off the Aussies during his partnerships with Marco Jansen (85) and Simon Harmer (82). The courageous batter smashed his career-best 179.

Later, Bavuma rotated his bowlers with precision, despite losing an on-song Anrich Nortje to an injury. Jansen did the job in Australia’s first innings, bagging five for 33. South Africa stand miles ahead before the start of the final day.
