Suryakumar Yadav was the first to reach the milestone, scoring 1164 runs in 2022. Ishan Kishan also achieved the feat in 2026, scoring 1159 runs.
Overall, Abhishek Sharma is the eighth player in T20I history to cross the 1000-run mark in a single calendar year.
