When Asha Bhosle collaborated with Brett Lee

Back in 2006, Asha Bhosle collaborated with legendary Australian fast bowler and then cricketer Brett Lee. The duo performed for a song “You’re the one for me” from the hit music album Asha and Friends, Vol. 1.

The lyrics of the song were reportedly written by Lee in just 30 minutes between practice sessions during his time in India for the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy. The single went on to debut at number four on the music charts and reached a peak position of number two at one stage.

Asha Bhosle’s connection with Sachin Tendulkar

Back in 2002, Asha Bhosle also composed music for an eight-song music and video album ‘Aap ki Asha’. The lyrics of the entire album were written by legendary poet and lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri.

It is worth noting that the album was first released by none other than Indian cricket icon and all-time great Sachin Tendulkar. The then Indian cricketer released the album on May 21, 2001 at a lavish party in his hometown, Mumbai.
