There are only a handful of times that cricketers and celebrities fall into unsavoury situations. One of those situations arose for Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant, who got engaged in a very humiliating situation online.
On social media, Pant was found tagging the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Dhami, as he wrote long paragraphs on his X handle with a personal dispute he would like to resolve via the minister’s office.
Why Rishabh Pant’s post on social media went viral?
At around 12:46 AM IST at night, Rishabh Pant was found complaining about the difficulties he faced while trying to acquire land in Uttarakhand. Tagging the Chief Minister, Pant, the cricketer appealed to Uttarakhand authorities to help resolve the prolonged difficulties he has faced in acquiring land in his native state.
After three years of searching, the cricketer says he wants to leave Delhi, return to his roots, build a life in Uttarakhand and contribute meaningfully to its people.
“@pushkardhami hello sir how’s you ??? It’s a long time for me especially being local from Uttrakhand . I have been trying to buy land to shift my base from Delhi to Uttrakhand and I couldn’t find anything facilitating and big to live here I love my Uttrakhand.
My humble request to us is please help me in land acquisition cause nowadays it had become nitemare with clarity and even other land is dew which was I supposedly get when I was promoting the state before keeping everything in side.
I wanna move back to my native place to help and built around Uttrakhand and I want to shif back to my Pahadi people please look into this matter it’s been 3 years didn’t get any land awaiting your answer @pushkardhami,” Pant wrote.

Born in Haridwar, Uttarakhand Pant says he would value the opportunity to own a piece of his home state, but wants to purchase land directly from the government at its official rate. He admits being unsure about the process and is seeking guidance, hoping to finally build his first home in Uttarakhand.
“A gift would be lovey for representation out states at the highest level internationally stages but if you allow me I wanna buy it from the government and on there rates at least I can have my first house built in my own state and our state. Please be helpful. Seriously didn’t know how to do it,” Pant added.

How has Rishabh Pant's latest outings been?
It is understood that Pant is currently with the Indian cricket team for the Sri Lanka tour in Colombo. While tweeting on his X handle, Pant is believed to be at the team hotel in Colombo alongside the whole unit.
Unfortunately, Rishabh Pant did not keep wickets on the first day of the practice match against SL XI, and Dhruv Jurel replaced him, which means he was kept out of the main Playing XI due to unidentified reasons, although an injury concern seems unlikely.
It is expected that Rishabh Pant will feature in the Playing XI of the 1st Test, which will be played on August 15, with Dhruv Jurel likely to sit out for the game.
