Mahieka Sharma comments on MI fan's post [Source: X]The five-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians, have once again got off to a torrid start to the season, lingering at the bottom of the points table with one win in four matches. Their latest defeat came against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at home, falling short by 18 runs in the chase. While this is not a rare occurrence that MI start the IPL slow, trying to figure out their best combination, a lot of questions are being asked about Hardik Pandya’s leadership. Some decisions are under the pump, as well as his performances with the bat haven’t been up to the standards he has set for himself. Amidst all this, Hardik Pandya’s partner, Mahieka Shama, is being dragged into this by the MI fans and the model, often seen in attendance at the matches, has also responded to a social media post. Fans troll Mahieka Sharma amid a social media comment Since the end of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which India won at home, Hardik Pandya has credited Mahieka for his good performances. He has very openly spoken about her role as his constant supporter and a lucky charm, ever since she came into his life and is often seen making gestures towards her in the stands. At the end of the MI vs RCB game, where the MI could only reach 222 runs, chasing 241, an Instagram post from an MI fan made a meme about the running joke and asked Mahieka to do something about MI’s form. Potentially confusing it for a genuine comment, Mahieka commented on the post and assured that everything would be fine soon. “have faith babes 💙🧿🧊🪽 luck is on our side always,” she wrote. Upon her comment going viral, a section of fans saw the funny side of the incident and joked about her being naïve and commenting. Also Read: Rohit Sharma Ruled Out Of IPL 2026 Matches? However, the rest of the batting lineup hasn’t yet lived up to its reputation. Suryakumar Yadav has gotten 106 runs at 153.62, but considering the match situations, he has looked out of sorts and failed to convert any of his knocks into match-winning ones. Captain Hardik Pandya has scored 67 runs in 3 innings at 171.79, but has not manage to cross the line in any of the matches yet. Tilak Varma’s form has been the most concerning, with only 35 runs in 4 innings, at just 120.68. Similarly, with the ball, Jasprit Bumrah has gone wicketless in 4 consecutive IPL matches for the first time in his career, while Trent Boult has conceded at 12.22 runs per over for only 1 scalp in 3 matches.
