KKR predicted XI for IPL match vs CSK [Source: AFP]
With CSK winning their last IPL match against the Delhi Capitals, KKR remains the only team yet to win a single game this season. The Ajinkya Rahane-led side has lost three out of four games, with the match against PBK getting washed out, thus giving them a solitary point.
The former IPL champions have looked clueless in all four matches that they have played so far. In the last IPL match against the Lucknow Super Giants, KKR had the game in the palm of their hands, but a Mukul Choudhary special stole the show in a last-over thriller.
KKR has plenty of selection headaches, with Matheesha Pathirana arriving after getting his NOC. He could feature in the next game, and there could be other massive changes as well. With a crucial game against CSK just around the corner, here is how KKR could lineup for the marquee match.
KKR likely playing XI Vs CSK- IPL 2026
Openers and top order: Ajinkya Rahane, Tim Seifert, Angkrish Raghuvanshi
Ajinkya Rahane has done well for the Knight Riders in the power play, and he’ll continue to don the opening role for the match vs CSK. Rahane brings in experience at the top, and in recent years, the right-handed batter has done well for his franchise.
The one change KKR might want to try out in the batting order is replacing Kiwi batter Finn Allen with another Kiwi star, Tim Seifert. Allen was brought with a lot of hope, and while he has been decent with the bat, his highest score has just been 37.
In the last IPL match vs LSG, KKR promoted Angkrish Raghuvanshi at 3 and demoted Cameron Green. The move paid off as the batter smashed quickfire runs and justified his promotion.
Middle order and all-rounders: Cameron Green, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Rovman Powell, Sunil Narine
Green, who was demoted at number 4, will continue to play at that position. He struggled against LSG, but gave some lusty blows to get into the groove. Moreover, with Green now bowling, he becomes an asset for the franchise.
Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh are worrying signs for KKR, especially Rinku, who has failed to deliver for the team in recent matches. However, the management will continue to back him, and Ramandeep.
Rovman Powell came like a blessing in disguise for KKR, as he became their key finisher against LSG, and smashed 39 off 24 balls, as the team has found an able Andre Russell replacement.

Bowlers: Anukul Roy, Umran Malik, Kartik Tyagi
Anukul Roy will be a key spinner in the KKR lineup, and in the pace bowling department, expect another key change. In the IPL match vs LSG, Navdeep Saini conceded 37 runs in three overs, and his performance turned the tide in LSG’s favour.
As a result, expect Navdeep to be dropped from the team, with Umran Malik, the tearaway pacer, likely getting his chance against CSK.
Kartik Tyagi will continue to be groomed by the KKR management, with Vaibhav Arora coming in as an impact substitute.
There is also a case to include Matheesha Pathirana in the main XI, especially after he got the NOC. However, he might not be match fit for the clash against CSK, and would perhaps debut in KKR's next match.
(Note: Varun Chakaravarthy is still unfit, and might not feature against CSK).
