In recent times, many overseas players have started choosing the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the Pakistan Super League (PSL). This trend is continuing this year as well. Spencer Johnson pulled out of PSL 2026

Spencer Johnson was originally selected to play for Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2026. Spencer Johnson’s record in IPL

Interestingly, Spencer Johnson had registered himself for the IPL 2026 auction with a base price of ₹1.5 crore. However, he went unsold during the auction, which surprised many fans.

Even though he was not picked, he is not new to the IPL. He has previously played for Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). In his IPL career so far, he has played 9 matches and taken 5 wickets, with an economy rate of 10.39.

On the other hand, his overall T20 record is quite impressive. He has taken 85 wickets in 71 matches, with a good economy rate of 7.94 runs per over. Therefore, he could still be a valuable addition to any team if given the opportunity.
