The Rawalpindiz vs Hyderabad Kingsmen PSL 2026 clash will be held at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. The all-exciting match is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, with fans able to catch the live action from 3:00 PM IST.
Rawalpindiz vs Hyderabad Kingsmen Preview
The Hyderabad Kingsmen, under captain Marnus Labuschagne, have so far struggled on the points table. They have lost four out of the six matches they have played; however, they have regained form with two recent back-to-back wins.
With players like Maaz Sadaqat, Saim Ayub, and Usman Khan in their top and middle order, Kingsmen can script a comeback in the tournament. All-rounders like Glenn Maxwell and Hassan Khan add to the depth in both batting and bowling, with the pace department being spearheaded by Riley Meredith and Maheesh Theekshana.
The Rawalpindiz struggle at the bottom of the table with no wins. As of now, they have lost every match since their inaugural clash against Peshawar Zalmi and will look to regroup, as captain Mohammad Rizwan needs to optimise their playing XI for the most effective team on the ground.
With top performers like Daryl Mitchell and Sam Billings by their side, and all-rounders like Saad Masood and Mubasir Khan, Rawalpindiz are aiming for a solid comeback to break their losing streak in the competition.
Hence, ahead of the Hyderabad Kingsmen versus Rawalpindiz clash, let's take a look at the playing XI of Rawalpindiz in the match.
Rawalpindiz Playing XI vs Hyderabad Kingsmen - PSL 2026 Match 24
Top Order- Mohammad Rizwan (C & WK), Usman Khawaja, Yasir Khan, Daryl Mitchell
The top order of Rawalpindiz will be handled by skipper Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khawaja. Although neither of these batters has been very impactful for the franchise, Rizwan, being the skipper, will open the batting. So far, Rizwan has bagged only 83 runs from his five outings while averaging 16.6.
Meanwhile, Usman Khawaja, who only played the last match in PSL 2026, has seven runs to his name as he will be hungry to improve in the upcoming clash. Given Khawaja's potential as an international cricketer, the veteran might be backed by the Rawalpindiz management.

At No. 3, Yasir Khan will continue to bat. So far, Khan has bagged 120 runs at a solid average of 24 while having a decent strike rate of 151.89. Given his reputation in this edition of the tournament, Yasir offers reliability.
Meanwhile, at No. 4, Daryl Mitchell, the highest run-getter for Rawalpindiz in this edition, will act as a cushion for any early scare. Mitchell's strike rate of 136.28 and average of 30.8 highlight the consistency he brings to the batting lineup while also being an all-rounder.
Middle Order and All-Rounders- Abdullah Fazal, Sam Billings, Saad Masood
Abdullah Fazal will be the core of the middle order. With experience on his back, the crafty batter, currently out of form, will have a crucial void to fill between the explosive starters and the late-order hitters. Fazal, though, has low scores. He has been consistent with a strike rate of 153.84, while scoring 80 runs from his five outings.
Sam Billings, the second-highest run-getter for the franchise, will be playing at No. 6. With one of the most consistent batting averages at 46.66, he is a solid stabiliser in the middle order, while also having a decent strike rate of 155.55.
Saad Masood has so far played only one match for the franchise but has shown promise with his late-order hitting, bagging 31 runs off 19 deliveries at a strike rate of 163.15. Masood is also a handy all-rounder who has so far been wicketless in PSL 2026 but was economical, with an economy rate of only 6.00 in the only match in which he bowled his four overs.
Bowlers- Asif Afridi, Ben Sears, Mohammad Amir, Amad Butt
The only tweak in the bowling department that Rawalpindiz can afford is switching Amad Butt for Mubasir Khan. The tall right-arm fast bowler has plenty of domestic experience and has also picked up two wickets against Peshawar Zalmi in his only PSL 2026 match.
Alongside him, pacer Ben Sears will be a crucial asset with his three-wicket haul in the tournament, while being a strike bowler for the team in the absence of Naseem Shah.
Mohammad Amir, the Pakistan veteran and also the highest wicket-taker for Rawalpindiz in this edition of the tournament, will lead the pace battery with seven wickets and a solid economy rate of 9.33.
Meanwhile, Daryl Mitchell will be handy with his ball-turning skills, alongside contributions from Asif Afridi in the spin department.
Overall, Rawalpindiz playing XI against the Hyderabad Kingsmen calls for an aggressive yet stable top order with an experienced middle order having finishing prowess. The all-rounder depth is covered by Mitchell and Amad Butt, while the bowling attack features experienced campaigners, improving the match-winning flexibility for the team.
