The Gujarat Titans will meet the Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 21 at 7:30 PM (IST).

GT have already confirmed their place in the playoffs and is now aiming to finish in the top-2 to play Qualifier 1. Currently, they are seated at number 2 with 16 points ahead of the final league match. A lot of work for them has been done by the top-order and a very well-defined bowling unit, with everyone performing their role to T.

On the other hand, CSK, who blew hot and cold throughout the season are more out than of the tournament, considering a win here wouldn't guarantee a top-4 finish for them. However, they would like to finish the season on a high note. Right now, they are 6th on the table with 14 points in 13 matches.

As the IPL 2023 finalists collide yet again, we take a look at GT's best possible lineup for the match.

GT's Likely Playing XI vs CSK- IPL 2026, Match 66

Top Order: Shubman Gill (c), Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler (wk)

Similar to last year, the GT top-3 have done the bulk of the scoring yet again and heading into the playoffs, they wouldn’t want to tinker with it in the final league match. The openers, Sai Sudharsan (554 runs at 157.83) and Shubman Gill (552 runs at 160.46), are both in the race for the orange cap and will look to give yet another strong start vs CSK.

Jos Buttler has also breached the 400-run mark again this season, striking at 149.81, despite coming into the competition in a torrid form.

Middle Order and All-rounders: Washington Sundar, Nishant Sindhu, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Arshad Khan

Washington Sundar got his first proper season with batting opportunities at 4 this IPL after impressing at the back end of IPL 2025 and has not disappointed yet. With five not out innings in 12 innings so far, he has 296 runs at a strike rate of 152.59. He will be followed by Nishant Sindhu or Jason Holder, depending on the situation.

Jason Holder has also proven to be a game-changer for GT after a late entry into the season. Bowling with an older ball has 13 scalps in 7 innings, conceding only 6.78 runs per over and has the best figures of 4/24.

Rashid Khan is once again in his element after some issues post his back surgery and has picked 16 wickets in 13 innings of the season. He has the best figures of 4/33 and an economy of 8.7 runs per over. He can also chip in with boundaries in the death overs.

Arshad Khan, with a T20 career strike rate of 149, will cap off the long lower-order of the Titans. He has also picked 5 wickets in 4 innings this season, with the best figures of 3/22.

Bowlers: Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna

GT’s leading wicket-taker, Kagiso Rabada, has picked 21 wickets in 13 innings this season at an economy rate of 9.22 runs per over and is only the second in the Purple Cap leaderboard so far. Additionally, no other bowler has picked more powerplay wickets than Rabada (16) this season.

Mohammed Siraj, who has picked 14 scalps this season and is their third-highest wicket-taker, will bat at 10. He has also been a successful powerplay bowler, and 10 of his 14 wickets have come with the new ball.

Prasidh Krishna will cap off the bowling attack as he is likely to replace Sai Kishore in the XI, considering the conditions are better suited to pacers. In just 8 appearances, he has gotten 14 wickets this season, predominantly bowling after the powerplay.
