With two wins in two matches, Pakistan will try to keep the winning streak intact on Sunday when they take on England in Match 4 of the ODI Tri-Series at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. England, on the other hand, will try to win it by any means necessary, as they have lost two in two, and another defeat will confirm their bid for the final.

Let’s take a look at how Pakistan could form their playing XI against England, based on recent happenings.

Top-Order: Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Babar Azam

Fakhar Zaman did not have a great outing so far in this series, with the scores reading a golden duck and a 19-ball 16. However, Pakistan are likely to keep faith in him in order to turn the tide.

Just like Fakhar, Saim Ayub has not done well in this series with the bat. He is yet to touch the double digits. However, given Pakistan don’t have much cover for that role, and Ayub can chip in with overs as well, he will have his place secured.

Pakistan’s most decorated ODI batter, Babar Azam, will keep batting at No. 3. He had 30+ scores in both their previous outings, but could not convert them into anything substantial.

Middle-Order & All-Rounders: Saad Baig (wk), Salman Agha, Hasan Nawaz, Arafat Minhas

Saad Baig will remain the preferred wicketkeeper over Ghazi Ghori, as he also has 30+ scores in both matches. Salman Ali Agha, on the other hand, had a century against Sri Lanka in the ODI Tri-Series opener.

Hasan Nawaz and Arafat Minhas, who have been super consistent in their respective departments, will keep their places as well.

Bowlers: Shaheen Afridi (c), Razaullah, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf

Since Faheem Ashraf hasn't done much in the ODI Tri-Series so far, Pakistan might give red-hot Razaullah a chance to perform. If that happens, captain Shaheen Afridi can promote himself to Number 8.

Meanwhile, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf will keep their places in Pakistan’s playing XI. Both Naseem and a very much vocal Haris have been among the wickets, and they will continue to support Shaheen in the pace bowling department.
