Bails Flying - (Source: X.com)
South Africa faced utter humiliation on Wednesday, March 4, after the Aiden Markram-led side suffered a nine-wicket defeat in the T20 World Cup semi-finals. It was the Proteas’ 1st defeat of the tournament, and they have now bowed out of the tournament.
South Africa, batting first, put just 169/8 on the board. In reply, Tim Seifert and Finn Allen stitched a brilliant 117-run stand. Seifert was the only Kiwi to lose his wicket, courtesy of Kagiso Rabada’s magical delivery.
Seifert’s dismissal sends the internet into Frenzy
Notably, on the 1st ball of the 10th over, Rabada cleaned up Seifert’s furniture, and the bail literally flew in the air and directly landed on the boundary rope. It is not a usual sight in cricket, but a bowler’s dream to have such a moment.
The clip has now gone viral on the internet, where the bail landed directly on the boundary rope, leaving everyone on the ground stunned.
