Shaheen Afridi was on a mission to succeed on Friday during Pakistan’s second ODI against Bangladesh, taking place at Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur. And the reaction he gave after executing a perfect trap for Tanzid Hasan brought more heat to PAK vs BAN 2nd ODI.

The emotions stemmed mainly from Shaheen Afridi, following multiple comments from Pakistan’s former players after their dismal show against Bangladesh in the ODI series opener.

And Tanzid was one of the heroes for Bangladesh in their previous meeting, as he made 67 off 42 balls, which had seven fours and five sixes. Pakistan ODI captain, hence could not control himself after getting him out, giving the Bangladesh opener a death stare and hurling abuse right in his face.

Tanzid Hasan Faces Shaheen Afridi's Rage

The incident happened during the 3rd over of Bangladesh’s innings when Shaheen Afridi bowled a good-length delivery towards the leg stump. Tanzid played a lofted flick, but a fielder was already placed there to get his wicket. And it happened as per Pakistan’s plan, as the ball went straight into the hands of Mohammad Wasim Jr.

Immediately after, Shaheen came towards Tanzid and had a word or two with him, full of anger. Tanzid, on the other hand, did not react to the incident, as he decided to walk back to the pavilion without any drama.

Bangladesh Vs Pakistan 2nd ODI Stopped Due To Rain

The 2nd ODI between Bangladesh and Pakistan, at the time of writing, has been stopped due to relentless rain. Earlier, Pakistan made 274 in 47.3 overs, with Maaz Sadaqat making headlines with a stunning 46-ball 75.

Sadaqat smashed five sixes and six fours in an entertaining knock, and Salman Agha and Mohammad Rizwan gave him equal support to take Pakistan to a respectable total.

However, the others failed miserably, which did not allow them to bat the full 50 overs.

Rishad Hossain did the most damage for Bangladesh, returning figures of 3/56. Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz had two wickets to his name, while Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana all had a wicket each.

Coming to chase, Bangladesh failed to get off to an ideal start as Tanzid became the first man dismissed. Shaheen then cleaned up Najmul Shanto for a two-ball duck, while Saif Hassan fell for a run-a-ball 12.

As a result, Bangladesh were struggling at 27/3 after 6.3 overs until rain came to the play and played spoilsport, particularly for Pakistan, who lost the first ODI in an embarrassing manner.
