A surprising moment involving Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh grabbed the attention of fans during the final of the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. Cameras caught what looked like an intense conversation between the couple during the post-match celebrations.
However, the incident occurred during an already historic evening for Indian cricket. The final was played at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 8, where India delivered a dominant performance.

Meanwhile, the bowlers ensured that New Zealand never had a chance to chase the daunting target. Jasprit Bumrah delivered an outstanding spell and picked up four wickets for just 15 runs. In addition, Axar Patel also made a crucial contribution with figures of 3/27.
Consequently, New Zealand were bowled out for 159 in 19 overs, giving India a convincing 96-run victory.

Rohit Sharma attended T20 World Cup 2026
It is important to note that Rohit Sharma was not part of the playing XI in the final. However, his presence at the stadium still held great significance. After leading India to victory in the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, he was appointed as the official ambassador for the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
Furthermore, he attended the final alongside legendary former captain MS Dhoni. Interestingly, both captains share a special connection with India’s T20 World Cup triumphs, as Dhoni led the team to the inaugural title in 2007 while Rohit guided them to glory in 2024.

While celebrations continued on the field after the match, family members and close friends of the players slowly gathered near the boundary to congratulate the champions. During this emotional moment, Rohit Sharma walked towards the sidelines where Ritika Sajdeh was standing.

Soon after, the cameras captured the couple having what appeared to be a serious discussion. Rohit Sharma looked quite expressive while talking, and his hand gestures made the conversation seem intense. At the same time, Ritika was also seen responding animatedly.
At one stage, the Indian opener’s facial expression suggested that he was not willing to hear more, which made the interaction look like a brief disagreement. Although the real reason behind the conversation remains unclear, the candid moment quickly went viral online.

Notably, India achieved a historic milestone in T20 cricket. The team became the only side to win the T20 World Cup three times and also the first team to win consecutive editions of the tournament.
