Amid Punjab Kings’ fielding struggles, captain Shreyas Iyer stood out to take a sharp catch of his own. The senior Indian batter, stationed at mid-on, reached out to his right to snare a brilliant catch to get rid of Nitish Rana at 91 off 44 balls.

While Shreyas Iyer’s catch clearly inspired his troops, the moment also evoked an animated response from Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta in the stands. Looking towards the Punjab Kings dugout, the Bollywood actress can be heard saying “Finally”.

Shashank Singh, fielding near the boundary, dropped Delhi Capitals opener KL Rahul inside the powerplay overs early in the game. The seasoned opening batter, who was batting at 12* at the time, went on to plunder 152* runs off just 67 balls with 16 boundaries and nine huge sixes in Delhi.
