Known for its tongue-in-cheek social media presence and razor-sharp wit, Iceland Cricket has once again stirred conversation with an explosive social media post. The time, the official social media platform of the board turned its attention to the Indian Premier League (IPL) amid the ongoing IPL 2026 season.

On Saturday, April 25; Iceland Cricket took to X and unveiled its all-time ‘Flop XI’ in IPL history, naming several high-profile stars who have failed to justify either their star power or hefty price tags over the years.

Among the notable inclusions in the team was current LSG skipper Rishabh Pant, whose presence in the XI quickly grabbed attention online.

Iceland Cricket troll Rishabh Pant and Yuvraj Singh

Iceland Cricket has trolled several IPL legends amid the ongoing IPL 2026 season. Targeting LSG skipper Rishabh Pant, former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and hard-hitting Glenn Maxwell, the official social media handle of the board jokingly shared its all-time ‘Flop XI’ of the prestigious Indian T20 tournament.

Interestingly, Pant was the only active player still playing in IPL 2026 who found his name in the dreadful list. The cricketer was included in the list largely owing to his underwhelming campaign as LSG’s captain as well as a batter, with the skipper enduring a prolonged lean patch. Here is a look at the entire Flop XI of the IPL, as claimed by Iceland Cricket on X.

IPL all-time Flop XI: Aaron Finch, Unmukt Chand, Yuvraj Singh (c), Glenn Maxwell, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, Chris Morris, Jaydev Unadkat, Kyle Jamieson and Pawan Negi.

Rishabh Pant continues to struggle in IPL

Rishabh Pant endured one of the worst phases of his IPL career back in 2025 last year. In 13 innings of the tournament, the blistering wicketkeeper-batter aggregated just 269 runs at an average of 24.45.

Moreover, Pant scored 118 of those runs in a single innings against the RCB, thus signifying his largely ineffective campaign.

Even in the ongoing IPL 2026 season, the 28-year-old has made 147 runs in seven innings at a similar average of 24.50. The cricketer failed to go past the 20-run mark in five of those innings.

As captain, he has led the LSG franchise to five defeats in just seven matches to be placed number nine on the IPL 2026 points table. Given his recent struggles, Pant’s inclusion in Iceland Cricket’s IPL ‘Flop XI’ largely reflects his current slump rather than his overall IPL legacy.

IPL 2026: The story so far

The opening round of the IPL 2026 season reached its halfway stage on April 25 with a double header in Delhi and Jaipur. As of now, the Punjab Kings franchise is placed at the top of the 10-team points table, and they are followed by defending champions RCB at number two.

The Rajasthan Royals and the SRH constitute the other two teams in among the top four sides of the competition thus far. The Mumbai Indians, LSG and KKR occupy the bottom three slots, in that order.
