The PSL 2026 has begun, and all the franchise teams of Pakistan are raising the tension with an intense battle behind closed doors in the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
However, ahead of the March 27 match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators, Pakistan legend Mushtaq Ahmed shared a conversation with England veteran Dominic Cork that almost cringed the spectators on live television.
When and How PSL 2026 Became The Stage For An Offensive Roast
Both Mushtaq Ahmed and Dominic played against each other during their cricketing tenures, and while speaking in a pre-match analysis event, Ahmed was seen deliberately pushing down Cork with an embarrassing recall which lead almost to a verbal fight.
Both the Pakistan and England veterans were present at Gaddafi to dissect and analyse the pitch for the second match of PSL 2026.
As the cameras panned for Live TV, Ahmed, who has played 3 Test matches and 2 ODI games against Cork, came up with some unprecedented words that embarrassed the latter on the spot.
Mushtaq Ahmed Openly Humiliates Cork On Live TV
Speaking of the pitch and how the surface will behave at Gaddafi for the PSL match, Dominic Cork was enthusiastically asking about how Adam Zampa, for Karachi Kings, could be effective with the ball to turn the ball in both directions.
Surprisingly, the Pakistan veteran flew past the question to jump onto another conversation where he intended to humiliate Cork by getting on the number of times he dismissed the English player.
The England veteran asked, “You know, you were a genius, being able to turn the ball both ways. Behind us here, Adam Zampa. What would you be telling Adam Zampa now on this surface?”
Mushtaq Ahmed replied, “I think before I tell something to Zampa, let me tell you one thing. How many times you are in my pocket? In Test matches and ODI and first-class cricket, Dominic, you remember that? I have got great memories, let me tell you.”

Dominic Tries To Save Humiliation
Dominic then replied that maybe Ahmed have got him once, to which Mushtaq Ahmed aggressively replied that Cork is wrong with his facts. Cork tried to apologise and make up for the fact by saying that he usually dosen’t bat well.
“But I couldn't bat. Don't worry about getting me, I get that top order out,” Cork said. To which, the Pakistan legend replied, “I think you've been modest here, Dom. You can bat. You used to be playing for England as the all-rounder, so you're denying that, isn't it?”
Cork then confessed that he was getting embarrassed by the conversation and changed the topic to Adam Zampa again.
“Oh yeah, let's not talk about me, more about this surface. Come on, don't embarrass me. I wanna know about Adam Zampa,” Cork said.
What is The Reality Behind the Mushtaq And Cork Feud?
While this banter came out to be an embarrassing one for both the legendary players on screen, factually, Mushtaq have successfully bagged Dominic Cork just two times in all of their appearances together across formats.
Nevertheless, both these players were legendary cricketers of their time. While Mushtaq was a legend with his spin bowling, Dominic was known for his searing seam and swing in England conditions, if not a heavy striker with the bat, as alleged by Ahmed.
The PSL 2026 match continued, though, after the small banter on Live TV, Karachi Kings came in to bat first and posted 181 runs, to which Quetta faltered by 14 runs despite Shamyl Hussain’s valiant effort with the bat.
